Kenji's pov

I transform into Ultraman when I was closer to her location and place my bike in a safe place.

I turn the corner and I see her there waddling down the street.

"Hey, come on. Come on," at the sound of my voice she turns around and her face just lights up, her arms reaching upwards for me. I kneel down and open my arms for her as she waddles towards me, "come to, uh... Daddy."

The citizens around me all go "Oh!" collectively as I freeze after remembering what I said.

"Uh, I mean..." I change my position to upright and point at her, "stop there, beast."

She chitters but gags and I knew exactly what was coming, "No. No. No."

She shoots out a beam as I'm able to conjure a shield just in time. I look back once the beam subsided and a pac man falls to the ground beside me.

"Uh, Saki. We've got a situation. Baby just melted Pac-Man."

"Urgh she must have acid reflux. Mina mentioned earlier she was experiencing nausea after eating."

"Babies get acid reflux?"

I turn around and she's gone. And Saki had to arrive at that moment.

"I took care of the drones that were following her. Where is she?"

"Uh..."

My silence must've been an answer because I saw the panic rise on her face even though she was in her Ultrawoman get-up, "oh my god, you lost her?! How do you lose a 20 foot pink baby?!"

"Well...she was here a second ago and I turned back for a moment and she was gone."

"Oh my god," she slaps her forehead, "I'm going to go north, you go south. Call me if you find her."

Without hearing an answer from me she leaps off.

I turn the corner and hear chitters. I look up and she's clinging the side of the Tokyo Tower, "not good."

I leap and land at the base of the tower looking up at her, "where's baby? There she is!"

She looks down at me and chitters but instead of coming down she heads up further, "come down, right now. Be careful! Mom is not going to be happy with you!"

"I don't think she's listening."

"Thanks for the observation Mina. Saki, I found her."

"Where is she?"

"Tokyo Tower. She's not listening to me."

"Just be more assertive or keep her safe until I get there. I'm on my way."

I look up and she's higher than before. My worried instincts start to kick in, "no, no. This is not playtime," I then decide to climb up the tower myself to get her, "you get down from there right now, young lady."

She chitters thinking I was playing a game of tag with her. I hear some noise coming from behind me and I see drones being deployed, flying above me and heading towards her.

"Hang on! I'm coming!"

They shoot syringes with green liquid into every body surface they could find as she screeches.

"No. No!"

In one swift movement I create a disc that went flying, destroying all the drones. She yelps and she could no longer hold onto the tower, falling down the side and I wasn't fast enough getting to her.

"No! Baby!"

I could grab her just in time but not without consequences.

"No. No, no, no," I was able to just barely grab her arm couldn't help but hear the sound of bones cracking. I knew what I did. I wasn't fast enough. I did that to her. She shrieks at the contact. Her right arm fell limp and I carried her close to my chest, "shh. It's okay. You're gonna be okay. Daddy's here."

"Ultraman, turn the infant over to the KDF and we will take no action against you."

I growl but that's when I saw it. Saki flying towards us. She sends a disc flying just as I had done earlier and destroys all the drones as well as the main ship enough to send it to the ground without hurting anyone. She lands beside me on the tower and sees what I had done to the baby.

"Ken, what happened?"

"Saki, she's hurt!"

"Oh my god," Saki takes the baby from my arms and places her against her chest as the baby whines from what I could imagine would be excruciating pain, "shh. Mama's here baby," she attempts to sooth, the baby looks up at her before nuzzling back into Saki's chest and I could tell from Saki's eyes she just wanted to make the pain stop at all costs, "we need to get back."

I nod, my breath heavy, my mind full of guilt. We both lift off, flying back to base. Saki clutching the baby against her chest and supporting her broken arm.

"You know what to do right?"

"Yeah. Mina, please prep the base for a mid-humeral fracture. I'm going to need an analysis when we arrive to confirm..." she pauses, "and call Professor Sato."

"What?"

"I can't bring myself to do it. Your dad can help. Please Kenji, for her sake, let me call him," she begs.

I breathe heavily and catch a glimpse of the baby in Saki's arms, the expression of pain that was splashed across her face pained me. I give in, "okay, call my dad."
