The sunlight falling through the window above them warmed his face, but unfortunately that wasn't what had woken him up. Neither had the birds singing outside; no, it was the demon that plagued him.

'Witch!' Deimos called for the nth time, destroying the peace that had rested on the witch in his sleep.

Was it too much to ask for silence while he enjoyed being held by San? 'What the fuck do you want?' he groaned, cuddling closer to his friend. It was unbelievable just how comfortable the man was; he was warm, and soft, and he smelled good, and his strong arms made him feel as if nothing could ever hurt him as long as San hugged him.

'Well, if you get rid of me, you'll have to go back to spell amplifiers.' The demon sounded almost nervous. 'And we both know that that's a pain in the ass. And besides, the ANWN would get suspicious that you lost a significant amount of your power basically overnight, they'd investigate and find out that you made a pact with-'

Wooyoung sighed. 'Deimos, shut up. We'll find a solution for that later.' He didn't want to think about that when he could think about the man holding him instead, about the gentle curves of the body pressed against his, about that wonderful smile he'd begun to love.

'But- you could just let me stay with you instead, you wouldn't have to go through all this trouble to find a way to get rid of me, you could just-'

'Shut up.'

'Please, I'll be quiet? I won't trouble you, but it would be so much easier for everyone if you just-'

Well, that was new. He'd never heard the demon ask him for something, but he didn't particularly care either. 'Deimos, I'm serious. Stop talking.' A perfect morning getting ruined by the demon, a tale old as time. Except this time, Deimos shut his non-existent mouth and stopped bothering the witch.

With a content sigh, Wooyoung put all of his focus on the way he fit into San's arms. He could hear his friend's heartbeat, a soft, consistent, somehow comforting thumping just beneath his ear, and he smiled when he remembered how jumpy and hectic that very same heartbeat had been before they'd fallen asleep. Which - as he'd had to realize - had been last evening; their nap had turned into going to sleep early. But that was probably good for both of them anyway.

San took a deep breath and pulled the witch closer to himself; Wooyoung opened his eyes and looked up at the other, finding him still fast asleep, his relaxed face glowing a pretty gold in the light of the sun. It was adorable. He wouldn't mind waking up like this more often. In fact, he'd be thrilled if he got to wake up to San hugging him more often, and he'd be even happier if the man opened his pretty eyes, looked at him with that cute adoration and leaned down to kiss him. Though that might not happen for quite a while, if it ever happened at all.

He wasn't sure why he'd decided to show him this room. He hadn't even brought any of his partners or friends - aside from Yeosang - here, out of fear that he'd end up connecting them to the cave and not being able to come here without thinking of them in case they hurt him or he lost his connection to them. But San? For some ungraspable reason, he hadn't even hesitated to let him into his favorite place in the city. It was very, very weird.

His friend frowned, then sighed, and Wooyoung dropped his smile and closed his eyes. He didn't want to get caught staring at that handsome face, especially not by the man himself. And when his friend's calm heartbeat stumbled and picked up again, he knew that San had woken up too. The witch wanted to find out what the other would do if he thought that the man in his arms was asleep, so he didn't reveal that he was very much awake just yet.
