Are words Izuku had been hearing his whole nothing would ever change people bullied him because he lacked one thing and that one thing was a spiritual guide or as one would say a spirit animal this was the one thing he needed to stop being pushed around like he's some little kid
But little did he know his dream of having a spirit animal and being a hero and as a lot harder then he thought
Izuku POV
June 27, 2024 thursday...
Explosions heard in the distance Izuku awoken alarms rang aloud everywhere repeatedly saying "EVACUATE THE CITY, IT IS BEING ATTACKED" Izuku jumped out of his bed grabbing his back pack and filling it with some clothes and other things he would need he grabbed his mother and left
People running everywhere screams filled the small neighborhood that Izuku lived in he Izuku looked up and some guy was attacking the city with his spirit animal someone screamed he looked around to see a mother and her kid stuck under a lamppost he handed his mom his backpack and ran over the the screaming lady and he child "Izuku where are you going!" His mother screamed at him "go ahead without me I'll be safe I promise, meet me in the woods I'll be there soon" he yelled back to his mother his mother gave him a hesitant nod and ran away to the woods Izuku reached the lady and lifted up the lamppost the lady and her child crawled away thanking him as they ran to safety then a building started collapsing some girl was about the be hit he ran over and pushed her out of the way saving her and himself
He went around helping people the heroes fighting the villain in the distance he ran too the woods where he would meet his mother he got people out of danger and led everyone to safety the alarms going more quiet as they got farther away soon they stopped they sat down and gathered there thoughts he took his bag and opened it up "shit" he said quietly he forgot to pack some food "I will he right back in going to see if I can get us some food" he said to the group he went deeper into the forest finding berries to eat it reminded him of when him and his father would go out and hunt together lost in his thought he hit something holding his forehead he looked up and saw a temple he decided it wasn't safe and he was going to go back when he saw some food in there he went it'll getting some berries he found a pedestal and on it was a stone sculpture of a firefly
He moved his fingers through the cracks of the stone it glows but that's all nothing else then he heard screaming he ran back to the survivors they were being attacked he ran to save the people in danger he got people to safety but before he could get to safety himself a rock got thrown at him he almost got hit but something stopped the rock before he got hit with it he slowly look up and saw a giant firefly

It effortlessly took down the rogue spirit animal it picked up Izuku and took him somewhere safe it took Izuku to a empty feild where you could only see flowers for miles "Izuku midoriya" the animal said he looked to the voice and saw the firefly glowing making its own light as it was still dark "I am hotaru I am the guardian of the forest and light I protect things from danger such as I did today with you and those that came with you I don't normally save people but I see great kindness and hope in you I would like to be your spiritual guide in what your kind calls life"
It was quiet all you could hear was the air around them but as it got quieter you would hear the laugh that comes out of Izuku midoriya's laugh "haha very funny but where is the camera crew everyone knows that a wild spirit animal way past the age of 10" his laugh stopped as he looked around "this is no trick I would really like to be your spirit animal" "wait dead serious" hotaru nods his head "well I think I'm tired I am very sleep deprived so I'm going to say no anyway how do I get back" he walks in a random direction leaving hotaru alone
Little does Izuku know this will not be the last time he sees hotaru
