A car pulled up to the gate, the driver waving her hand in the scanner. Her hand quickly switched to hold the steering wheel. She has been doing errands from left to right. Answering calls and replying to emails.

She groaned in annoyance and stomped the gas. She just came from the Land of the Rising Sun just to come back to this shit?

She drove through the dimly lit driveway, heading to the garage of the big ass mansion. Thousands of notifications welcomed her when she turned on her phone. Of course she would turn it off, she wanted to relax in PEACE.

She shuffled her way out of her Mercedes, quickly grabbing her phone from the passenger seat, not bothering to get her other belongings.

She rushed to wave her hand again in the scanner, her face lighting up when the door opened.

"Heph!" She called out, climbing up the stairs and heading to a door. She knocked when she finally reached her destination, after passing through dozens of doors.

Said person hummed in reply.

"The heroes want to talk to the boss" Her statement caught the other's attention.

"Straight to the boss, eh?"

"Yeah, i was surprised when they called me too" She went around wires and sat at an empty table, just across from the person she called as 'Heph'.

"They must be that desperate" He replied, hands going through cables.

She sighed.

"You must be tired, Hermes. Apollo is downstairs, i think he's making coffee." Hephaestus said without looking at her, too focused on his device.

She stood up as a response.

"Deliver the news, Heph. When he's done"

Hepheastus, once again hummed as a yes, dismissing her. She then went out of the room, closing the door behind her.

Her phone rings again. She didn't even bother looking at the caller. She knew who it was.

"Hello-"

"Please, just this once Hermes. We will never contact you again after this."

The heroes is really in dire need of their help huh?

"No can do, Eraserhead. At least not until the boss will approve of it." She sighed while massaging her temple.

"Then can you report immediately?"
Hermes' eyebrows shot up.
"This is not just a simple request, We want you to participate in finding something that cannot be controlled. We know how powerful you are, that's why even though you aren't involved with us, we reached out to you."

Hermes laughed. She could not believe a hero, much less, Eraserhead is practically begging for their help.

"Oh I can't believe this!" She continues to laugh like a mad man- or in this situation- a mad woman. She can hear a yell from Hepheastus to shut the fuck up but she just can't stop her laugh right now.

Eraserhead groaned in distaste. His mind forming thoughts a hundred times per second. He can't really blame the woman, he himself can't comprehend what's happening. All he knows is that even their number one hero is powerless against a much more powerful villain.

After a few minutes of the man suffering and the woman laughing her ass off, she finally stopped.

Clearing her throat first before she flipped her personality.

"I understand that the issue is urgent, Hero. I am telling you this one last time. The boss needs to approve first before we head out there. The least i can do is to inform you IF he does agree, and when the hunt will begin."

Eraserhead lightly shivered at the term. Hunt?
And how the fuck does the woman literally changed her voice to extremely professional when she was just wheezing a while ago?

Hermes did not hear anymore response from the man, and she ended the call quickly. She runs downstairs to meet Apollo, not before yelling at Heph to report to the boss first.

"Morning, Hermes" Apollo bowed his head to greet. The said woman dismissing it by waving her hand and flashing him a smile. He pushed a cup to her.

"I heard your call earlier."

She sipped her coffee and moaned in delight.

"Yeah?"

"What do they need?" He asked, being straight forward.

Hermes raised a finger, signalling a one-second.

"Well, the heroes are asking for our involvement regarding capturing a villain, as they called it. They said the villain feeds off negative emotions, and it grows with every surge. Turns out they have been preying on lots if cities now, since last year. And now they've been growing stronger and stronger as people have been notified of their appearance, accidentally letting off more negative emotions. They warp realities too, that's why they want more of those negative shits. By warping realities, they can also manipulate time and the people."

Apollo was stunned for a second before coming back into reality with a confused face.

"Huh? But they aren't that much of a threat though?

"That's the thing. When they take control of something, it's by place. Meaning, all residents will be controlled too. Making them some kind of mindless puppets."

"Oh.."

"Yeah, oh"

Apollo nodded in understanding. Putting down his cup and glanced at me, still confused.

"Does the boss already know? He's away on business right now. I don't think he'll want heroes to disturb him."

Apollo stood up and cleaned the counter. He likes to keep things clean and organized.

"I thought so too.." Hermes said, looking around their hideout, while still sipping her hot coffee.
