Elwia knocked on the dorm door before opening it. There was no one there yet, so she sat on one of the beds, where her trunk was somehow already laying. She started unpacking her things and put her Bell Jar book on her nightstand. Suddenly, Elwia heard approaching giggles behind the door.
"Shh... No, Astoria. We'll scare her." A girl giggled, presumably Pansy. Then the door opened, and a brunette and a black-haired girl looked at Elwia with excitement.
"Hey! I'm Pansy, and that is Astoria. It's so nice to meet you! We ran into Theo in the common room, and he told us that you're nice. I'm assuming you're going to come to the party with us." Pansy smiled widely with Astoria by her side.
"The party? I thought it was only a small get-together, but yes, I am coming. I'm Elwia, as you might know." Elwia laughed and innocently examined the two girls.
Pansy was quite tall, probably about 174 cm. Astoria was the same height as Elwia, which was 165 cm. They were both very pretty.
"We need to get ready together! Can I please do your hair, Wia? It's so long and beautiful." Astoria pleaded with a smile on her face and continued, "Pansy's hair is so short, since she decided to cut it out of nowhere."
"You're still not over the fact that I cut my hair? Seriously, Tori." Pansy laughed while hugging the frames of the four-poster bed.
"I think short hair suits you, Pansy. And yes, I would love it if you did my hair." Elwia smiled and sat down on the stool in front of the makeup table.
Elwia had fun getting ready with Pansy and Astoria; they were both very nice and their silly little disagreements made her laugh so hard. She was glad that she had already made so many friends during her first evening at Hogwarts.
The girls' long hour of getting ready consisted of listening to music and using makeup brushes as microphones. Saying that everyone was going to fall straight under their feet was an understatement. They looked amazing; all of them were dressed in black.
"I'm so glad you let me curl your hair; it looks amazing!" Astoria cooed.
"It looks so good, thank you, but aren't we dressed a bit too fancy for a small get-together?" Elwia asked with a laugh.
Astoria and Pansy smirked as they shared a look, and suddenly loud music started blasting.
"Let's just say that Theo's concept of a small get-together is quite different compared to usual small get-togethers." Astoria laughed and put on her hoop earrings.
The girls started giggling, and Pansy grabbed a firewhiskey bottle from her cabinet.
"Let's get drunk!" She yelled in excitement and popped the bottle open.
They all took big sips, and Elwia sighed with satisfaction as the warm, burning liquor made its way down her insides. She got startled when Theo's and Blaise's heads suddenly popped into sight when the door opened.
"Get out! We could've been changing!!" Astoria giggled.
"Definitely wouldn't want to see that. Come on, the party's starting!" Theo smirked.
Elwia smiled excitedly and left the dorm with her new friends.
The music blasting was so loud, Elwia couldn't even hear her own thoughts. Theo and Blaise must've chanted at least a dozen muffliato spells to stop the whole Hogwarts from waking up.
"Can you pass me the bottle?" Elwia asked Pansy.
She took a big sip once again, not really worrying about her alcohol tolerance. Elwia didn't drink often but when she did, she most definitely didn't shy away.
