"Holy-" I gasped. My hands flew about and nearly hit something.

"Woah... easy" A hand wrapped around my arm to restrain me. Turning my sweat-drenched head to the voice, I was greeted with crystal blue eyes.

"Tobi" I sighed, feeling a sense of relief on identifying the visitor.

"What happened? Did you dream about taxes?" he laughed, his golden hair catching the morning sun that filtered through the floor-to-ceiling office window.

"MORNING?! IT'S MORNING?!" I jumped up from my seat, a sudden burst of energy carrying me. "I fell asleep? Shit"

I positioned myself in front of the black screen of the laptop. The faces of my coven greeted me as I turned it on. I planned to finish what i couldn't finish yesterday.

The laptop was closed the second I opened it, a hand resting on top of it to prevent me from opening it again.

"Nop, you are not doing any more work. You're coming with me for breakfast." He said pulling me up by my hand.

"Tobi don't play with me. I have a meeting at 10" I glared at him as I tried to push his gigantic hand off the laptop.

"Tomorrow" he pointed to the calendar.

I blinked. Once. Twice, the information settling in, and once it did a groan escaped my mouth. I plopped my head on the hardwood table.

"Why didn't you tell me this yesterday?" I whined.

"Who thought you'd pull an all-nighter and decide to have a solo sleepover in the office?" He shot back, his eyes shining with amusement.

"Sure you didn't. it's not like we've been friends for like, forever?" I stood up and walked to the door, already feeling tired.

"So as an apology for being an incompetent friend, I'll let you go home early today," he said as he followed me to the elevator.

"Who are you to let me go home early?" I asked, a mock accusation colouring my voice as I pressed the ground floor button.

"Did you forget? My dad's the CEO" He said with a shrug.

"Your dad!! Not you. And today's Sunday" I rolled my eyes to which he replied with a laugh.

"What are you doing here on a day off?" I asked as I eyed his outfit.

He was wearing a basic, white dress shirt and navy blue pants, looking like he jumped out from a magazine cover. His tousled hair glinted with every moment, reminding me of his wolf fur.

"What? Fell in love with me?" He smirked, his blue eyes shining in the dim lighting of the elevator.

"Sure whatever floats your boat" I rolled my eyes.

"Date with Jess?" I asked

"Yup, we are going to the movies" His eyes softened as soon as Jess's name was uttered.

"She's just too cute and perfect that I get a heart attack every time I see her." His eyes glazed over and his face controted into a dreamy expression.

"There he goes again" I muttered under my breath, knowing full well what was going to come for the next 4 hours.

"What was that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing! Go on!" I encouraged him as I stepped out of the elevator, making our way to my car.

"You should have been there yesterday when-" His face glowed as he spoke about his mate, his actions got more and more animated with every word.

He didn't stop even after we reached the restaurant and finished our breakfast. Most of the things he said about her were things a normal human being would do daily, like how he liked 'the way she sneezed' or 'the way she blinked when dust got in her eyes', or 'how she breathed'!!!!
