The city of Nishikawa is located in Japan. This suburban city is the result when modernization blends with culture. The city is surrounded by hills, which act as protection barriers. Along the city, there is a small neighborhood known as "Moonlight Terrace." The whole area was filled with people who do various types of jobs, like working in factories, corporate jobs, being students, etc. The entire neighborhood is known for its kind people.

One day, a van entered the Moonlight Terrace. It was a shipping van, which people usually use when moving in. The van enters the narrow road of the neighborhood before stopping in front of the gate of a typical urban house. The house has a gray steel gate that was half rusted. The walls were bleached with yellow paint, and there was a big courtyard. It was sure that the new tenants bought it at a cheap price.

Soon, the engine of the van stopped, and a woman came out. She will be in her mid-40s, but she still looks young. Long black hair, a white skin tone, and beautiful blue eyes. Any man will fall in love with her. She was wearing a blue shirt and a coral long skirt. With a sigh, she started at the suburban house and said, "This is the house." She adjusted her sunglasses and ordered the delivery men and his helpers to unload their packages. While supervising, the woman glanced at another person sitting inside the car. The eyes were nervous and anxious. The woman says, "Raven, darling, come out." A teen girl stepped out; she has black hair, an average body, and is wearing a white t-shirt and black pants. The woman placed her hands on the girl's shoulders. "This is a new start for us.".

Now head to the introduction. Raven Shogun, 18 years old, was born to Robin Nicholas and Syosuke Shogun. Syosuke comes from a family with a 2000-year-old history. Things went bad for Robin and Syosuke in their marriage. Regular arguments contributed to making Raven's childhood a happy one. One day, it was the breaking point when Syosuke kicked Robin and Raven out after calling them "worthless." Robin swore never to look back. She filed for divorce and moved out, taking away her daughter. At present, Raven navigates throughout the house. It's like a small cottage with a small living room and a kitchen counter on its left side. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom where only one person can fit.
Raven looks at her mother. "Are we really going to live in this small house?".Robin touched Raven's cheeks, knowing how she feels. "I know it is not like our old house, but with family, every house feels like a mansion." After the divorce, Robin realized that she had to work hard in order to give Raven a better life. Robin was unemployed, yet the money she got from alimony was spent on renting the house. The mother-daughter duo started unpacking the boxes that were in every room of the house, making it more and more congested. The smell of cardboard was in the entire house. While Robin unpacked one box, she founded the Little Raven family with her parents. The happy look on their faces was a testament to how good the past was. Robin glanced at Raven, who was unboxing another carton on her opposite side. Robin took the photo back at the box, feeling that the necessity had not yet come.

The day ended with the duo unpacking boxes and setting up their new home, which was soon going to play an important role. In the evening, Raven sat in the courtyard, feeling the wind of change. She can observe the kids playing with their friends. Deep inside, Raven unwillingly feels insecure. Since her childhood, she has been a shy girl who rarely talked with others. It's not like she doesn't want to make friends; no one wants to become her friend. Not everyone is interested in being friends with a loner, let alone in a relationship. Since she is new to the neighborhood, Raven's anxiety peaked. Can she fit the societal norms? Can anyone actually like her? The answers were unknown. She alienated herself from everyone, even from her mother. The habit of keeping her thoughts to herself has a long history. That night, Raven had to go to sleep by covering her ears because of her parents' verbal argument. The day Syosuke kicked out Robin and her after calling them worthless still aches her like someone hit a dagger right through her heart. Whoever she once used to call her hero has disowned her. Raven was in deep thought when suddenly a soccer ball came jumping in the courtyard, getting Raven back to reality. She grabbed the ball, clenching it with both palms. Her eyes were looking left and right when she heard a voice.
"Sorry for the inconvenience.".

She looked to her right and saw a girl in a tank top and sports shorts. She had a short haircut with blue highlights. She looked like one of those rookies from high school who often acts manly. She was on the other side of the house. Raven took a few glances; she rarely saw tomboys, before reacting, "Is that yours?" The tomboy girl smiles, "Yeah, it will be mine. Pass please". Raven passes the football to the girl, who instantly catches it like it is no big deal for her. The girl then takes time to scan Raven. It's not common for her to see an anti-social girl in a t-shirt and pajamas overthinking while sitting in the courtyard."Are you new here?" asked the girl curiously. Raven replied, "Yeah, I just moved here today." The girl then extended her hand above the wall. "I am Suruku, Suruku Kogichan." Raven shook hands nervously. It was her first time an unknown person was willingly chatting with her. But soon, in a moment of time, Raven's life was going to change.
