The native of the lost island ~ Pirate!England x Male!Reader

  Many were the days Arthur had sailed on the Unicorn with his crew from a part of the world to another without having seen the shores of his dear nation for long. Homesickness didn't seem to get him though, because after so many years sailing the seas, he still was setting out farther and farther from his beautiful London without seeming to feel the slightest want to go back. How could he, when there was so much unexplored land to be discovered yet ?

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, far from the cost of the American continent, while his crew despaired of seeing any land on the horizon to bale their ship out the almost empty holds of the ship, that the Captain called for a miracle and was, miraculously, heard from above. Few people had ever risked venturing this far west and therefore, no map existed of these waters yet. Suffice to say that Arthur and his crew sailed in total haze and the ship was about to see the start of a mutiny looming. Something that Captain Kirkland, Terror of the Seven Seas, refused to let happen.

It was then that a lonely land appeared, first as a distant point that almost seemed to be an illusion from the sun. Yet it was clear, as they approached, that it was indeed an island with the appearance of a jungle, put there in the middle of the ocean like a forgotten piece of land. It seemed so far removed from all civilization, far from the mainland and other islands and yet it made the crew burst of joy like Arthur rarely saw it from his men. Was this a new island ? Were they about to make a new discovery ? Arthur dreamed of it for so long ! New lands to reattach to his noble English nation ! And what a relief after all this time without finding anything and almost running out of provisions. He couldn't blame his crew for celebrating this new discovery. There was no doubt that they would find resources to supply them there and perhaps even make new discoveries that could be very lucrative once in the mainland, in addition to that of the island ; plants, fruits, minerals, maybe even gold or gems. All was good to take !

Arthur put on his hat, assumed a superior look and ordered the anchor to be dropped. The canoes full of pirates were quickly launched, all eager to discover a new land that looked so promising. After so many weeks on the vaste ocean, reaching the white sand beach was for the entire crew, including Arthur, a mix of excitement and relief as they saw the dense forest looming before them. There must have some unsuspected treasured in there !

- Well, everyone makes groups of four of five. Everyone'll explore a part of the island and if you find something interesting, bring it back to the beach, right here ! If you're in danger or lost, blow your horn, another group would come help. Understood ? Don't forget, you're the most feared pirates of the Seven Seas ! Nothing can overcome your tenacity ! Arthur explained, turning to his sailors.

- Ay, Captain! They replied.

Each group therefore took a different paths. Arthur's went straight ahead, though the dense thickets of the forest, so dense they had difficulty finding a way through it at first. Arthur himself had barely taken a step into the jungle when he realized how abundant it was.

The trees were huge with protruding roots that hung out for a foot to trip on it, so tall it was impossible to see the tops. The plants were so plentiful that one could not walk straight or avoid tripping ; giant leaved, lianas falling from the sky, so many shades of green that it would be hard naming them all. There were flowers of all kinds ; reds, blues, violets, large, small, carnivorous and wacky that the pirate had never seen despite all his travels. Arthur found this place really peaceful with the songs of the birds, the rustle of the wind in the foliage and the calm gurgling of the water flowing in a nearby stream.

This forest really is a slice of heaven, Arthur thought. But as he walked quietly through the vegetation, he failed to see the pair of hungry eyes staring at him and his group of pirates.
