Ashlyn is now in control while I try to process what just occurred. There are tears uncontrollably spilling out of my eyes. I shoot a glare over at her, watching as she was leaning over the console to reach the wheel.

I shoot my free hand up to shove her away, "YOU ASSHOLE! I SAID, GO BACK!"

Her expression remains solid, despite my crude language directed at her. She is well aware of the amount of guilt and anger building up within me, therefore not bothering to feed into my reckless behavior.

I keep trying to take her hands off, but she won't budge. Taylor is crying for her to turn as well, giving Ben a hard time while she tries to escape from his hold. He knew that the moment he'd let go, Taylor would immediately jump out of the car, and we couldn't risk losing another person right now.

Ashlyn pushes me back against the seat and yells, "We will! But we have to survive first!"

"Tyler's going to die if we leave him!" I protest, gripping onto her arm. She yanks away from my grasp.

"Aiden! Grab her! She can't drive right now!"

I give her a confused look but then jolt when I feel Aiden hook his arms around me and drag me into the backseat with him, "Hey! Aiden, let go! No! She won't go back!"

"I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry..." He whispers into my ear as he drags me down to sit beside him, wrapping an arm around my waist to stop me from jumping out at Ashlyn. I struggle against him, not wanting to accept the fact that we really were leaving Tyler behind.

"You- we can't leave him!!" I yell, but Aiden places a hand over my mouth to silence me. Taylor is sobbing into Ben's chest while he just shuts his eyes and grimaces from my cries. Logan has been silently staring out into the road, keeping an eye on the phantom gaining on us fast.

There is suddenly a violent rumble in the ground and Aiden and I look behind us to find another large phantom emerge from the shadows. It quickly rams right into the one on the road, sending them both tumbling down. Ashlyn swerves off the road to avoid getting crushed.

We then go sliding downhill, zooming past rocks and trees. Aiden's hold on me tightens and his hand drops from my mouth, instead moving to grip the seat.

Ashlyn shifts the gear into park, making the car skid in an unstable manner. We all jerk back when the front-end crashes right into a tree and spins out. The airbags in the front activate and the doors all fly open from the impact.

I fall forward and my head is about to collide with the headrest until I feel Aiden's hand press against my forehead, softening the blow. I hear something crack when his hand gets crushed between the headrest and my head. He gently pulls me back against him and lets out a groan before looking down at me and muttering,

"Tyler would kill me if I let something happen to you too..."
