Lauren found herself at the mall with Camila, hiding behind a rotating sunglass stand in a store she'd never thought to enter before.

Camila grabbed two pairs of the cheapest 2009 "nerd" glasses on the stand and slammed them onto the counter dramatically, checking over her shoulder every few seconds so as not to get caught. She and the store clerk were completing the transaction in hushed tones and sketchy mannerisms. Lauren rolled her eyes and wondered how the hell Camila could turn any stranger into a child within seconds of meeting them.

The clerk shifted her eyes to the security camera and then discreetly slid the glasses over to Camila who gave a final wink before grabbing Lauren's arm and strutting out the door.

"What the fu-", Lauren tried to question but was cut short by Camila's hand being forcefully clamped over her mouth, "here", she said shoving the glasses into Lauren's hand, "to conceal your identity", she added, crazy eyes back in full effect. Lauren sighed and played along, Camila's creativity was often suppressed at school because she wanted to stay popular. Back in middle school, when she was 100% herself, 1D fan girl and all, she had no friends and she vowed to herself she'd never be that girl again.

She knew that her friends only liked her because she was smart and normal, so the only person she could be unapologetically herself with, was Lauren.

Lauren smiled sadly to herself at the thought, "so what's the sitch?", she asked forcing herself to play her friend's game, after whipping the glasses on her face, CSI Miami style.

"Let's try Forever 21, you know basic bitchez love F21", she said in her east LA latina accent.

After a few minutes of looking and no luck, they found the two girls in Cotton On and followed them through every store on the top floor. There was no visible evidence of the two being anything more than friends, so Lauren knew they wasted her time, but she had a ton of fun just goofing around with her best friend and almost getting caught at least a handful of times.

At the two hour mark, the two girls made their way to the food court, Camila and Lauren in close pursuit. They waited for Zendaya and Dinah to order their food and sit at a booth and then took the booth behind them, slouching in an attempt to stay out of sight.

Dinah ordered a chilly dog and cheese fries and Zendaya ordered pizza, which was Camila's favorite. The two Cuban girls went undetected for a solid two minutes until the younger latina's stomach growled loud enough to catch the pair's attention.

"Camila? Lauren?", Dinah asked after turning around and spotting the two hunched over in their seats.

"What the hell?", Lauren exclaimed, "I forgot you guys were coming here today." She cast a look over the other three girls to gauge how believable her performance was.
Zendaya looked unimpressed, Camila looked guilty, and Dinah had the same stupid happy smile on her face that Lauren couldn't help but love.

"This is so weird", she said to herself, "anyway, join us over here!" Camila set her eyes on Dinah's plate before scurrying over to join them. Lauren joined her at the table after a few moments, realizing she didn't have any other choice.

They sat with both pairs on either side of the table making light conversation and sharing food for a few minutes. Casually, Zendaya draped her arms across Dinah's shoulders, maintaining eye contact with Lauren the entire time. Dinah in turn buried her face into the light-skinned girl's neck. Lauren's face changed into a mixture of shock and sadness, but she didn't say anything, the defeat already settling in.
