chapter 1

Hazel

    Hardbound books,classic style,espresso addiction,reading more than sleeping, writing more than breathing, I love calling myself a law student more than studying law itself,and yes, I study corporate law in New-York University.

Mom:" Hazel, you will be late again."
Me:" I am going out ,see you later mommy".
I grabbed my bag, kissed my mother's cheek, and started running as fast as i could.

I'm Hazel Hudson , 25 years old and it is my last year as a law student , three weeks before the BAR exam and around 1 month before realising my dream becoming a lawyer I am stressing more than ever but I am also so excited.
my mother, liliana Hudson, always tells me that i was and still stubborn , good at debating , that I hated losing , I always win when it comes to fighting ,with words of course.. so when i was 16 years old, i started seeing myself as a lawyer. Either way, I am always messy... sorry but I don't have time . for a law student, every second has value . Although this fact i am always stylish, for me, it is part of my future job.
Today, I am wearing a brown turtleneck sweater with a long brown skirt and white Nike shoes and always the same haircut a messy bun .
10 minutes, and they will not let me enter the university. I really must pass by a convenience store. I absolutely need those candies that I buy every day , they help me to stay awake and concentrate all day .
FINALLY! I found it. the store , I quickly entered searching for the candies..bingo! I think it is the last box , I ran to take it but a very tall man. i think that he is around 6'2 "tall with messy black hair and almond honey eyes...(anyways I'm not gonna deny the fact that he is kinda charming) .
wake up, Hazel! he took it . I approached him slowly.
Me:" Excuse me..". I said Embarrassment appears on my face.
He turns slowly
Me:"Can I please have this box of candies it is the last box, and I really need it." I waited for his answer, but he just kept looking at me .

Me:"Excuse me??!"

Unknown:" Ah, sorry, but I need it too."
Me:"I'll pay , please. I really need it. I have exams soon, and I really need to stay focused. "
Unknown:"I have my reasons too, and who use candies to stay awake, you can buy coffee ."
I am so late and this arrogant man is annoying me.
Me:" Please ?"
Unknown :"I said no!"

I am so late, I tried to be kind, but this is enough !.

_"I knew that handsome men are immature , find a job and stop your arrogance," I whispered before taking the box from his hands and running towards the supermarket checkout .
Me:"Keep the rest of the money."
I got out of the convenience store, letting the man's shocked and surprised face the last thing I saw.

Cora:"You really said that?!". She said without stopping laughing.

Coralin jenson is my best friend. She's a blonde with big green eyes and longue hair. She is so beautiful. i have known her now for more than seven years. Friendly and extrovert, unlike me . she is my human diary, whom I trust and love.

"Oh stop , at least I have my candies," I said, realising I was so rude with a stranger even if he deserves it.
Cora:"Okay, he was also arrogant."
Me:" I admit it was really funny, You should have seen his face when I stole it from his hands."
The professor entered, and the two of us turned serious

Professor:As I said last time , there are five types of corporate law that we will have to study before the BAR exam: contract law , venture capital, acquisitions and mergers , corporate gouvernance and corporate securities law there is others that we won't have to study . We already did three of them and tomorrow we all have to visit a society which accepted to welcome us to study how societies apply the delegated management,so you all have to be here tomorrow around 9;00am . Be ready, and good luck with your BAR exam. "

Cora:it will be so interesting, I am so exited ".
Me:"Me too, it is like a preparation for our work life."
Cora:"Yeah , so please don't be late." She said , with a serious face
Me":don't worry, I won't."
Cora :"You always say this."
Me:"I promise.

I woke up early this morning, as usual, with messy hair and dark circles larger than ever it is actually 8:00am i took a rapid bath and started preparing myself i mustn't be late or cora will kill me , anyway i applied some makeup just a concealer to hide the dark circles and a gloss . Today's outfit is simple a black tanktop , black jeans, and a green cardigan with white sneakers , I pulled my hair into a beautiful braid , and I grabbed my bag that I packed yesterday after finishing studying. It was 8:30 am , I went downstairs and did not find anyone. I think my mother is at work, and my brother is at school. I grabbed my strawberry jaw toast and went out .

On my way to the meeting place , I met andrew . Andrew Meyer Is one of my dearest friends, he is a tall men with a light brown hair and green siren eyes , i know him since my first year of high school , he works in the society that we will go to , and suggested to drive me directly to the company and I accepted.

Andrew:" hello hazey , how
Are you , are you ready to have some hard work?."
Me:"I am fine except the fact that I am stressing. "
He opened the car door for me, I set and closed the door
Andrew: "Don't worry , everyone in society is kind , the ceo is a little cold but he has a golden heart, trust me, they will all help you and the rest of the students to enjoy this day and learn from it." He said, getting into the car.
Me:"Thank you, I hope so."

He later drove quietly , we did nothing except some eye contacts that we do often and whish make me uncomfortable sometimes we also talked about funny topics that made me forget the embarrassment.
After 15 minutes, we finally arrived. There were around 30 students waiting , I met cora, who was really happy that I was early.
Cora:"we should write this in the journal, Hazel Hudson arrived at time for the first time."
Me:"Ha ha, so funny, coralin, between. Coralin, this is andrew, the one who drove me here. "
Cora:"Oh, I see why you are early now . Hi Andrew, nice to meet you , Hazel talks about you often. "
A strange smile comes to his face
Andrew:"Hi coralin, glad to meet you . She talks about you a lot too."
She smiled
Andrew:"Sorry girls, but I really have to go and start working, see you later."

Me:"Okay, have a nice day."

He looked at me for a while and smiled and then started stepping towards the company door.

Cora:" Wow, what was that! Am i imagining, or are there hearts in the sky?".
Me:"Stop giving me weird thoughts, he is just a friend more like a brother to me".
Cora :" I Don't think it is the same for him ."
Me": cora!!".
Cora":okey okey let's go inside ".

When we came in , they told us to meet the ceo one by one to distribute to us our taskes as lawyers and check them out later.
After around 10 min of waiting my turn finally came .
Ceo:"hazel Hudson ".
I opened the door
"Oh shi-".
"Oh , Metting again mrs hidson". he said, interrupting my speech with a large smile .
