As Evelyn went to talk to her parents, she couldn't wait anymore to ask them what has been going on, so she did, she asked them.

"What's going on? Why is dad with bruises on his face?" She asked concerened, although she shouldn't be since clearly they were mad at her for some unknown reason.

"We would also like to know what's going on with you. How did Harry got out of there alive? All Dumbledore told us is that you needed to talk to us. So, you start." Her mom said, making her frustrated.

"You didn't write me back when I was at Harry's uncle's house all summer and you expect me to just tell you what's been going on?" She asked.

"Well, it's either that or none of us will say anything." Evelyn looked at her dad for support since mostly it would be him to back her up, but he couldn't meet her eyes.

She looked at her mother again to make sure she was being serious and she was very very serious indeed. She's never seen her like that before. She was more strict that her dad, but never this serious, almost mad.

"F-Fine... uh Isavedharryandcedricfromyouknowwho-" Now she was the one who couldn't look them in the eye.

"Come again? Say it slower, we can't understand."

She took a deep breathe and looked at the in the eye, she shouldn't be afraid of her own parents.

"I saved Harry and Cedric from you-know-who..." She waited for their reaction and it was indeed one of surprise. This time, her dad finally looked at her, concern in his face.

"What? How?" He asked, not caring about Evelyn's mother gaze on him.

"I started having all of this feelings of fear, anger, everything that Harry was feeling, I was feeling it too. And I knew he needed help." She started to explain. "I managed to connect so much with him that I was able to teletransport or use some sort of apparation and was able to get to him in time before- before you-know-who could- um- k-kill Harry-" She let out a sob she didn't know she was holding.

She's been so afraid that she didn't realize it until she could let everything out. No one knew until now what had really happened in that tournament and she hated every minute of it, but she sucked it up so she could save them. Even if it put herself in danger.

"You could've died Evelyn." Her dad said as he took her hands in his, Evelyn's gaze now on her dad. "You were so brave, braver than most Hufflepuffs, and you've been hiding it this whole time. I couldn't be prouder."

She let out another sob as her dad embraced her in a hug. A very tight hug, letting his daughter let everything out.

He could tell she was trying so hard to be strong but it was okay to not be strong sometimes. That's the difference between Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors. Gryffindors can't accept falling apart. But Hufflpuffs knows that it's okay not to be okay sometimes.

"I still don't understand how it all happened? Did you-know-who saw you?" Her mom asked, breaking the moment.

Evelyn separated from her dad, but he kept a tight grip on her hand. She appreciated it.

"No, I don't think so. It was too quick to notice." She replied, her nervousness coming back to her. She's been so focused on saving Harry that she didn't had a chance to see if Voldemort had saw her.

For all she knew, he might've.

"Oh Merlin... what are we going to do? He could've seen you. You were irresponsable. You didn't even had a plan. You could've been killed-"

"Honey, I think it's not the best moment to say that. What good would it do? As Evelyn said, it was all too quick, he probably didn't see her."

"But maybe he did!" Her mom was now very frustrated and angry, she even stood up and started walking around the room.

"Mom it'll be fine." Evelyn then understood that her mom was worried. She was worried something might happen to her.

After all, she was their only daughter.

"I-I should've never agreed to do that bond." She said, taking her by surprise.

"Wait, what bond?"

Her mother stopped in her tracks and started fidgiting with her fingers.

"Do you want me to tell her? I think she's old enough to know."

"Tell me what dad? What are you talking about?" Evelyn was so confused, looking in between her parents. Her mom avoiding her eyes.

"F-Fine. Tell her."

"We agreed to bond you with Harry when you two were very little. It was on your second birthday."

Evelyn processed the information but now she had more questions than answers. "What kind of bond?"

"It's called the Soul Bond. Harry's parents thought it would be great to bond the two of you so you'd never feel or be alone."

"I wasn't sure about doing it, but they looked so determined that I couldn't say no. I should've looked more, searched more about it before agreeing to it-"

"Honey, it's not just your fault, it's also mine. I also agreed to it. We believed in them."

"Wait, so how does it work? That's why I can feel everything Harry's feeling?" Her mom's head nodded, same as her dad's. "Then-  he could feel mine as well?"

"Potentially, yes.. but not as strong as you do."

"Why not?"

"Um- we couldn't finish the bond completely."

"What? And how can we finish it?" Her head was spinning, she had so much informationto process. She was bond to Harry.

That made her question everything. Have everything that she's been feeling all her life being Harry's feelings? Did she actually liked him? Or was this part of the bond?

"Y-You uh- you need to have a love interaction to complete the bond." That was enough for her to stand up, unsure how to take this now.

"Love interaction? What does that mean? L-like s-sex?" When her parents nodded, she was too shocked. "I'm only 15, I'm not ready for that."

"We know, we're sorry. But if we want you to be safe too, then you'll have to do it at some point. Preferibly before you-know-who manages to conquere everything and start the war." Her mom said. "That's the only way you'll be safe too."

"So-so if we finish this bond- Harry will feel what I'm feeling and might have the same abilities as me, but also- if something happens to any of us- if-if I die- would he also die?"

Her worst fear came true, when both her parents nodded.

Pacing back and forth in the room, she decided she needed air. "I-I need some air."

She didn't look back at her parents as she opened the door and left the room. Since her mind was racing, she didn't notice her body colliding with the one person she couldn't face right now.

"Sorry- Eve, are- wait are you okay?" He noticed of course, the tears still streaming down her face. She couldn't tell him. Not now. Maybe never.

How would she tell him? Oh yeah, Harry, our parents bonded us when we were young, that's why I can feel whatever you're feeling but also, they didn't finish the bond because it'll only be complete if we have sex?

It's just too much. She's not ready for any of it. He's going through so much right now, it'll only be more of a burden.

"Eve?" She didn't even noticed that he was holding her still, both eyes trying to find hers. But her head was hurting, she felt like she needed oxygen.

"I- s-sorry. I just need some air." She said as she whiped her tears away and managed to get off from Harry's grip and out of the house.
