A/N: I would like to challenge myself by writing a story that I was new with. This is my first time writing a story with this kind of genre. I can not guarantee that it could reach your expectations. However, I would do my best not to disappoint. One more thing, sometimes, when I'm writing fantasy, I need time to rest my mind, so when resting, I prefer to use my brain for another story.

"Dr. Kim, here's your coffee."

The assistant said softly, breaking the silence that filled Minji's office in her private psychiatric clinic. After a lot of patient consultations and psychotherapy sessions, she leaned back in her chair, eyes fixed on the desktop monitor.

"I've got a packed schedule." She muttered to herself, scanning the appointments. With a sigh, she took a sip of her coffee. The bitterness of the coffee failed to give the latter an energy.

She closed her eyes, enjoying the peace and quiet atmosphere inside her beloved office.

Just as she began to enjoy the calm, the loud ring of the telephone shattered the peace. With an annoyed expression, Minji sat back straight and answered the phone call.

"Yes?"

"Dr. Kim, police are looking for you."

Minji hung up the call abruptly as she grabbed her pen and hurried out of her office to meet the unexpected visitors. In the reception area, two officers and a detective stood waiting.

"What can I help you with?" Minji asked, confusion is visible in her face.

"Dr. Kim Minji, you're under arrest for the murder of Son Seokhee." The detective declared, as an officer moved forward with handcuffs.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have a lawyer. If you can not afford one, one will be appointed to you."

"Wait, you've got the wrong person. I don't even know who Seokhee is." Minji protested urgently.

But they didn't mind her. They took her out of the clinic.

Minji's mind raced as she was faced with the sudden accusation. She knew, with absolute certainty, that she hadn't harmed or killed anyone. Yet here she was, a murder suspect.

In a desperate moment, she remembered the pen tucked discreetly beneath her jacket. With her hands cuffed behind her back, she slid the pen from its hiding place as it reached her fingers.

"Wait, detective and others. Do you hear anything?" Minji asked them.

"Hear what?"

Minji clicks the pen, producing a soft yet rhythmic clicking sound that seems too loud enough for the detective and the officers to hear.

CLICK. CLICK. CLICK.

"Do you hear it? Focus on the sound." She instructed, her tone carrying a calm yet hypnotic quality. The officers' faces filled with confusion, but Minji couldn't help but smirk.

"Focus on the sound. Click. Click. Click." She said once again. "Let your thoughts drift away."

"As of now, the sound of the clicking pen is what matters the most."

The tension between all of them seemed to lie down as the officers' expressions softened, that's it, the moment they already under her hypnosis.

Minji saw their shoulders relax. Taking a deep breath, she pushed forward, knowing she had only moments to spare.

The clicking sound continued to resonate.

"You will uncuff me now," She instructed softly. The detective, as if in a trance state, moved forward and uncuff Minji's wrist.

"And you will forget that I was ever here."

With that, she turned and walked away from the detective and the officers. She knew that once they got back their consciousness, confusion would wash over them. She quickly signaled a taxi.

A taxi stopped in front of her, and Minji settled into the backseat.

"Ma'am, where to?"

"Seorimdo province."
