GIFTED: CURSE OF THE DARK QUEEN

FOREST OF VINES AND WEBS

A/N: I listened to the entire 1989 album while listening to this. definitely not a 1989 worthy chapter.

The rustling of the leaves created a light shadow effect on Ishika's face, the soft breeze blowing through the tress making the forest come alive. Ishika fluttered her eyes open, her eyeballs moving around to get a hint of her surroundings...She groaned and sat up on the dusty ground, smacking her bruised lip "How the hell did I get here?" Ishika thought, She stood up looking around.."Aditya! Aban..Can you hear me? Vinnie.." Ishika's voice echoed and faded away into the forest, silence returning back to her. She sighed and started walking, the forest was not too dark..light from the sun reached the forest grounds making it easier for her to walk. Ishika halted suddenly and searched her pocket, her phone was gone.. "and this was the last thing I wanted for to happen." She exasperated, the crunching of leaves caught her attention as she turned around in a swift movement, her senses alert..looking for the unknown threat. As the minutes passed, no one came..Ishika sighed in relief and started walking again, as she followed the dried-leaf covered path..Ishika couldn't feel but shudder as a shadowy sensation took over her..as if someone was watching her from the shadows. Ishika's eyes were alert, and then she realized something...the whole time she was here..she haven't heard a sound of a single living being! not even birds twittering! Ishika's jaw tightened, she crouched on the ground and picked up a sturdy branch fallen under a tree "let the games begin..." She whispered to herself as she started walking deeper into the jungle. The jungle was eerily calm, as if it was waiting for a force to rush through it and disrupt it's serenity, Ishika gripped her branch tightly turning into a blunt weapon when..a sweet scent surrounded her. The scent was strong but sweet at the same time, so alluring it made Ishika dizzy..She quickly grabbed a tree bark and steadied herself...her vision..it was..it was blurry..but the scent, it clouded Ishika's senses, it was so addictive. The branch fell from Ishika's hands, as she started following the scent deep into the depths of the jungle.

Shivangi slowly opened her eyes and her sight focused on the face hovering over her, "AHHH WHAT THE FUCK." she screamed and punched the face, quickly scrambling away from the person. the person groaned in pain "Seriously Shivangi, break my jaw the next time." the voice was familiar, "Ai-Aishik?" Shivangi asked cautiously, the boy slowly looked at her with a arched eyebrow "Who else were you expecting?" Shivangi sighed in relief and went over to help him stand, she grabbed his hand and pulled him up "Well with all the shadow demons around you cannot really blame me.." Aishik stood up and brushed his clothes, Shivangi asked "Where are we?" Aishik looked around "I don't know, I woke up here and saw you lying unconscious. I have no idea how we even reached this place.."Shivangi looked around herself, they were in a forest..large green trees surrounded them, their leaves creating a shadow-light effect in the forest. Shivangi looked at Aishik "i didn't know jungle safari was on the travel guide." Aishik snickered, Shivangi smiled as Aishik's nose scrunched up when he snickered..he always looked cute like that. She quickly shook away her thoughts, She said "We have to find the others.." "and find our way out. This forest is giving me the creeps." Aishik said as he physically shivered, Shivangi looked around once again...Aishik was right. The forest was eerily quiet...there was not a single sound except for the wind moving through the leaves, not even a bird twittering Aishik said "We shouldn't stand here, god knows what the fuck might come out again." Shivangi nodded as they lowly started walking deeper into the jungle, Aishik said "Do you remember how we came here?" Shivangi nodded "The last thing I recall is that we were in the station and those demons surrounded and then..." Shivangi paused for a second "Everything's blank." Aishik shrugged "Same. But..." Aishik stopped talking when a sweet scent invaded his nostrils "Do you smell that?" Aishik asked, "Smell what?"Shivangi gave him a confused look and sniffed the air, the sweet scent now clogging her senses Shivangi said in awe "What-What is that scent?" Aishik nodded "I don't know but it's..it's so alluring." Shivangi felt the scent creeping up her body cells..her limbs slowly relaxing..she felt so sleepy. Aishik's eyes were droopy now when...Aishik felt a pair of small legs climbing up his hand..his senses suddenly became alert and his eyes darted towards his hand! "what the fuck!" Aishik staggered back and almost fell, a swarm of spiders was climbing up his hand! Shivangi shook out of her trance and froze when she saw Aishik "Oh my god! Aishik! Shit.." Aishik screamed "SHIVANGI SHIVA- HELP! FUCK." Aishik desperately tried to remove the crawling spiders from his hands, but..every time he touched they seemed to multiply in number! Shivangi ran near him "Aishik, I need you to stay still...ok! Just give me a second!" She closed her eyes, Shivangi felt a swirling rush of energy in her body...her hand started glowing blue as water droplets formed on them..She opened her eyes "Here goes nothing!" A grand torrent of water launched from her hands! it hit Aishik pushing him backward and washing the spiders off him, Shivangi tried to push her powers but suddenly her hands were bound by a web, before she can react millions of webs were thrown on her! "OH god! help!" Shivangi squirmed, trying to get the webs off her but her body was slowly getting covered in thick string of webs making it impossible for her to move "Aimmph helmmph" Shivangi's voice was getting muffled but Aishik couldn't do anything as the swarm of spiders was covering his body pushing him down, almost pushing him inside the ground. He tried to remove them but couldn't , slowly..the spiders covered his body darkening his vision as they spun webs around him.

Ishika sniffed the air as she kept on walking inside the jungle, her mind completely in control of the sweet aroma surrounding her. The aroma kept on guiding her..towards a dark cave but Ishika couldn't do anything, her body and mind were submitting to the scent around her. Ishika entered the cave, the cave looked like a whale's stomach..dark and cold with vines growing out from the cracks of the stones. The cave had a deafening silence, the walls of the cave was wet and cold. But..in the cave, the scent grew stronger..it was almost suffocating. Ishika. Ishika coughed, Her heart paining as she couldn't breathe fresh air..Ishika tried to back out of the cave but a force almost pulled her inside! The scent was still controlling her..Ishika kept on walking, she was getting dizzy from the lack of oxygen..She held on to the wet walls as she moved further inside the cave. A slithering sound snapped Ishika out of her trance! "fuck.." She muttered as she stopped walking "Why the hell did I come here?" Ishika thought, as she looked around the cave. The slithering sound perked up her ears! She swiftly pivoted towards the sound when "what the..AHH!" a slithering object wrapped around her leg and threw her on the ground! "WHAT THE FUCK!" Ishika tried to remove the object from her legs but she couldn't! Ishika looked around herself for a sharp object, she grabbed a stone and started hitting the object! it gave out a loud shriek and released Ishika's leg, Ishika sighed but her breathing stopped as she heard more slithering noises! Ishika slowly looked up and she almost wished she didn't...the vines growing from the stones were now alive! and moving! one of the vines lunged towards Ishika! Ishika rolled on the ground avoiding it! She tried to run but another vine caught her leg causing her to fall face-first on the ground! Ishika groaned in pain "not today motherfuckers..." She grabbed another stone but a vine grabbed her hand before she can free herself, Ishika tugged on the vine hoping it will rip but as much as she tugged the vine kept on growing! numerous other vines slowly wrapped around Ishika's body stopping her movements "no no no why would this happen to m-mmph!" the vines wrapped around Ishika's mouth, Ishika was mummified by the vines. All of a sudden! the vines started contracting! with one tug they lifted Ishika into air and kept her hanging from the ceiling! Ishika tried to scream..but the sweet scent from earlier returned slowly stopping her brain and making her go numb.

[shortest chapter ever i guess? but meh! this was a boring to be honest, the next one's gonna be fun. and also I am so sad that the story is coming to an end :( tell me how'd you like the story and i love you.].
