The river sings
A song of gold
Rippling melodies
Where secrets unfold
The water is calm
The silence unyielding
Life will go on
Regardless the ending
The stream whispers
Stories of the lost
But knowledge comes
At a dangerous cost
The lake remembers
Every shadow of life
Some secrets are
Sharp as a knife
The water never forgets
But to know what it knows
Mysteries aren't for the hopeful
Shadows race as the water flows
