I gasp, staring at him with my eyes and mouth wide open, I can't believe who I am seeing. The guy who helped me that night, who also left me hanging with embarrassment suddenly appears in front of my eyes. I honestly don't know whether I should feel happy or frustrated.

He locks my gaze with his enigmatic eyes that seem to hold lots of stories, hypnotizing me without even trying to... A tingling sensation swiftly darts across my spine as I'm trying so hard to curb myself from blushing before him.

He advances towards me without breaking eye contact, making me gulp just to realize my throat was dry all this time. He comes to a halt just a few feet away from me, at the same distance he was at on that night.

We stare into each other's eyes for five solid seconds.

"What were you doing so late outside?" He speaks sternly with his arms crossed, immediately bringing me out of my thoughts.

"I... I-"

*Gulps*

I try to say something but end up cHoCkINg on my own saliva... I begin to cough, I cough VIOLENTLY. My cough resonates throughout the room and I can feel everyone's gaze fixed upon me, observing every freaking weird action that I make. I try to hold it in, but the more I contain myself the more the itching sensation in my throat intensifies. And of course... Provoking the cough to get even more outrageous!

So embarrassing, embarrassing, embarrassing!

I feel like my cheeks are burning so freaking red right now... I really want to dig a BIG hole to BURY my head IN!

...

Okay, okay... I'm back, my software is just updating and fixing some bugs, overall I'm fine... Just breathe in, breathe out, breathe in...

"Are you done?" He raises his voice at me and I get startled.

"Huh?"

I experience confusion for a brief moment and soon realize that he's waiting for me to answer his question.

"I- I was having a bad day..." I stammer, my voice wobbling as the fresh image of Keith kissing someone else begins to play in my mind.

I curb my tears and almost bursting feeling inside.

He doesn't say anything back, but he stares at me. It gets pretty suffocating so I timidly avert my eyes to somewhere apart from him.

Only to find a bunch of other people staring at me.

Stop doing that people I'm socially awkward!

Jeez.

"Sam will get you home..." He calmly speaks, earning my attention as I inquiringly look at him.

"Whatever happened today, just forget it..." His voice sounds so soothing and warm that I feel comfortable again for the first time after having been tremendously terrified.

"Don't come back to that place ever again, and..." He continues in a monotone. I listen to him absorbedly, feeling myself lost in those captivating silver eyes.

His eyes are really beautiful.

"If you tell anyone about what you saw today..."

"You will regret it! You hear me?!" He snaps stridently, almost blowing up my ear drums as I can only shudder in response.

"Ye- yes..." I swallow, wondering what the heck did he scream that for as I crane my neck to look at him. He's only creasing his brows, expressing discontentment towards me.

Why is he angry at me?

"This way." The spiked hair guy disrupts my string of thoughts, I deem his name is Sam.

So he hates me... Fine. Whatever. I quickly shoot a cold glance at him with my winced face then turn around hastily. At first, Keith hurts me, now him.

Sam opens the door and holds it for me. I hurry without looking back, who does he think he is?!

"You can't just let her go like that!" A woman raises her voice behind my back and my feet halt in place.

I gradually turn my head to the origin of the voice with a huge question mark above my head. What now? Am I allowed to walk out of this place?

I scan everyone till my gaze lands right on that woman, the woman who seemed to be mad at me earlier, is folding her arms with her eyes glued on mine, like I was the lifelong enemy in her past life or something. Seriously, what is her freaking problem?

"How can you be so sure that she is not one of those spies sent to track us down?!" She gnashes, yelling at whom I assume is him - the boss.

He stands with his back facing her, only staring at me with his emotionless features as I try to read his face but only to no avail, he is greatly aware of her speech behind his back but he only remains silent.

I really want to know what he's thinking about.

"You need to give her a background check!" She barks with a churlish countenance, tossing her hands aimlessly around to emphasize her point, to which I think is stupid since the poor man isn't even looking at her. Pfft, such an annoying bish.

"Give us your full name, darling." She tears her eyes off him then towards me demandingly, twirling her index finger around a strand of her long hair.

Ugh.

"It's R-" I utter promptly in order to finish whatever misunderstanding is going on to be able to go home fast.

"No need." His husky voice cuts mine.

I divert my eyes to him to see what he's doing.

"Just get her out of here." He rolls his eyes and sighs.

He wants me gone that bad huh.

"Let's go." Sam calls me. I turn on my heels, taking my time observing the woman, her visibly upset expression makes me feel satisfied as I display a grin on my face to tease her, earning an even more infuriating look from the woman.

My curious eyes then find their way back to the man's face once again, giving him a baffled look with my brows knitted together as my feet carry me out of the room.

What the hell just happened?

I deliberately cross the threshold, Sam closes the door behind me then hastens ahead. Almost immediately, I hear muffled yelling inside, but it's just that, the voices are faint and inaudible. Got to give props to whoever designed this room, it is very well constructed to contain the noises within its hold.

But my natural prying instinct is always lively and I never seem to be able to repel it.

So, I decide to stay to find out what is happening in there, gently pressing my ear onto the door, blocking every other sense but hearing.
