"Dallas get your ass over here now!" Dallas heard his sibling's voice, calling him over.
"What?" he responded, annoyed.
"Are you ready yet?" Misty's voice continued. Dallas sighed.
"I'm not going, Misty." he answered them. Misty's head turned, confused.
"Why not?" they asked. Dallas then, looked sad.
"Parties- I don't go to them. Everyone at school hates me anyway and I don't feel like gettin' into any fights tonight." he answered them, a little upset. Misty tilted their head.
"Oh?" they sighed. "Well, this is the only time you're staying home when there's a literal party you could be at. You're coming next time, mister." Misty had a jokingly angry expression on their face. Dallas' snout pointed down. Then, he looked back up again, pretty quickly.
"Just," he began. "Don't get into any weird trouble, okay?" he continued. Misty giggled.
"I can't promise that I won't. Hopefully I get laid, though." they said.
"Misty, You're sixteen!" Dallas shouted at them. "Ain't that way too young for that crap?!" he continued. Misty's poofy tail swayed, excitedly.
"I'm just an arctic fox who wants to get laid," they sang in a happy tune, completely ignoring what their older brother said. Dallas expected them not to. Whenever he warned them about something, they never listened, then ended up getting into trouble. "And you're an alligator who is jealous!" they continued singing. Dallas growled angrily.
"I'm not jealous, okay?" he angrily responded. Misty gave a silly look at him.
"Sure." they said, brushing their hair. Dallas rethought about what Misty said, though. Maybe he was jealous that no one had ever loved him the same way they loved Misty. Dallas was always hated and ignored in school, which was the opposite for Misty. This wasn't the only time he was jealous of them, but he still hated the feeling and wasn't used to it. "Well," Misty started excitedly. "Have fun staying home while I get bitches." They then skipped out the door. Dallas' anger grew. He hated when Misty did this. Was he sensitive? No, he couldn't. He's an alligator, he had to stay strong and tough. Dallas swayed his tail, angrily.
"Dallas, what are you doing home?" a majestic feminine voice asked him. Dallas frowned.
"I ain't goin' to that party, Luna." he answered. Luna had always been Dallas' caretaker for as long as he could remember. Luna saved Dallas, when she found him in the woods as a child, covered in scars. It was obvious that he had lacked the supply of food and water, so Luna took him in to care for him. It just happened to be that Luna was the galaxy spirit, taking form as a huge purple galaxy lion. Luna didn't like always being that big, so she usually took her human form. Luna tilted her head in confusion and squatted to meet eye level with him. Dallas became embarrassed, knowing he didn't have the greatest height or size. "Will you stop that?" Dallas asked her. "It's makin' me feel small, please stop." he continued. Luna shrugged.
"Sorry, Dallas." she apologized. Although Dallas was older than Misty, he was shorter than them. He always has been. Hopefully I'll eventually go through a growth spurt. Dallas thought. I can't be this small forever. He continued to think. "Well," Luna calmly said. "I doubt that you'll stay this small forever, you actually might end up going through a growth spurt. And yes, don't freak out, but I can read minds." she continued.
Dallas freaked out.
A Month Later
"Dallas." Misty said, excitedly. Dallas groaned.
"What now?" he angrily responded. Misty held up a poster that they grabbed from school. "What?" Dallas asked in confusion. Misty looked at Dallas stupidly.
