Chapter 2

It was around two hours after the trio made it back to the police station when a detective finally arrived .

Eraserhead greets the unnamed detective when he walks through the door, whispering more information than the person who called him in probably gave. Though it wasn't a lot.

The detective then looks towards the blonde, introducing himself. "Hello, I'm detective Tsukauchi. I'll be the person in charge of questioning you today."

Aether stares at him for a bit and ends up not saying anything. He wasn't asked anything so why would he?

"Ahem.. alright, before we start I'm obligated to ask if you would allow this conversation to be recorded? Off-record of course."

Aether nods.

"Alright.. Thank you. Do not worry, this is not an interrogation and you are not in trouble. Like I said, it's off-record. We just need to ask some questions." And if Aether told you he knew what the fuck this guy was talking about he'd be lying.

"My name is Detective Tsukauchi, you can call me that. My quirk is Lie Detecting! Pretty self explanatory I can sense when and If you're lying."

When Aether only shifts his hold on Paimon he continues.

"Why don't we start with simple questions. What's your name?" The detective smiles with no teeth.

"Aether.."

"True, thank you. How about your quirk? Does it have a name?"

To that question Aether just stares. Awkward..

"..Alright, we can get back to that. Who's this?" The detective points at Paimon, you could see Aether tense from a mile away.

"..Paimon."

"Paimon huh? That's an interesting name. Mind telling me where you two came from?"

Aether begins getting nervous, shifting more often. "I don't know." He partially lies, he doesn't really.. know where Teyvat is.

The detective glances at Eraserhead, who's tucked into the corner of the room watching.

After what felt like forever, the questioning was over. With a total of 7 unanswered questions and 4 Lies.

The detective turns to talk with Eraserhead. Who seems to be deep in thought.

"Eraser, What's wrong?"

"Those two.."

Tsukauchi chuckles, "Be more specific Eraser, what about them? Also what happened to er- Paimon?.."

Eraserhead sighs, "They're both injured but, I don't know how I feel about taking them to a regular hospital. Especially with what they're wearing."

Tsukauchi nods, looking back he hadn't gotten a good glance at his outfit during the questioning. The girl was covering it. "What's wrong with his outfit?"

"A plated crop top and shorts in the middle of fall, don't you think that's a bit weird?" Eraserhead frowns, glancing at the blonde who seemed to be focused on the white haired pixie.

"Really? An armored crop is certainly a choice." Tsukauchi mumbles. "Maybe he was a hero in training? Mission gone wrong?"

"That's a probability but.. that wouldn't explain her." The black haired man is obviously talking about Paimon.

Tsukauchi sighs, "let's just hope it's nothing bad. We don't want this investigation to turn into an interrogation." He chuckles at his own choice of words.

Eraserhead clearly doesn't share the same sentiments, he clears his throat. "Okay.. first and foremost we need to get these two to a hospital."

"Well since you don't want to take them to an actual hospital like a normal person would. Maybe take them to UA? It's one of the most secure places out there."

Eraserhead pauses to think. "That.. could work but, I'd need Nezu's permission for that. Plus I don't know how he'd fare with a bunch of teenagers his age, just look at him." He whispers the last part.

Tsukauchi ignores his warning. "Why don't I take you two to UA, you need the rest anyway. You have classes tomorrow."

Eraserhead sighs, nodding and standing up. "What a problem child.."

"So.. you're saying you were testing out chemical reactions when one of your assistants knocked into a potion? Causing you to teleport here?."

"Correct."

"And.. how do you expect me to believe you?"

"...Take my word for it?"

The stoat chuckles. This guy sure was a catch, he had an interesting story too.

Nezu's about to ask him more questions when his phone rings. "Ahem.. one moment."

He can see the blonde nod out of the corner of his eye as he picks up the phone. "Principle Nezu speaking, what can I do for you Shouta?"

"I need you to grant access to let a, teenager and a toddler on campus."

"Oh? Shouta, that's a surprise. Would you tell me what they look like so I can make a guest pass?" Nezu says, putting the phone on speaker as he hops onto his computer. "Excuse me for a moment." He says to the Blonde who just sits there.

"The teenager has a blonde braid in his hair, says his name's Aether. The—" Eraserhead doesn't get to finish as a certain blonde speaks up.

"Aether? You have him? Right now?"

The stoat looks up at the blonde, letting out a hum. "You know him?"

"Yes. He was there when the potions exploded. I didn't realize he was also transported here.. but I guess that only makes sense."

"Alright, what about the toddler?"

"White hair, puffy clothes."

"Paimon's here also, fascinating. I wonder if that means sucrose was also transported."

"Anywho" He continues. "I am Albedo. A chief alchemist where I live, though I don't know how much use that would be here." He reaches to shake the stoat's hand.

Nezu grins, shaking his hand.

"Why don't you tell me more about yourself as we walk to the front gate? That is where your friends will be coming through after all."

"Alright."
