Y/N P.O.V.
I loudly gasped as I woke up, a puff a white smoke coming out of my mouth. A lot more of that white smoke coming from the chamber. I tried remembering where I was but, surprise surprise, I couldn't.

I couldn't even remember what I was doing before this. I leaned on the frame of the entrance of the chamber while taking slow steps outside.

My vision was still blurry but, I could make out the figure of a woman in front of me as I started to see her better and better.

"Who are you?"
I ask, my voice still groggy. I literally felt drunk without drinking alcohol all while trying to remember my name.

"My name is Grace, I'm your mom. Do you remember your name?"
She said in a weirdly cold voice almost like a robot.

As for her being my mother, I'm unsure if she is telling the truth but I guess I'll have to take her word for it, or at least that she used to be my mother.

I suddenly not felt a shiver down my spine from how cold it was, well it was cold before because of the weird thing I was in and everything but most of the new cold was coming from the woman, making me even more suspicious. Then I suddenly remembered my name.

"My father used to call me Number Eight, I don't know any other name which I can call myself."
I said now as I tried thinking about who my father is.

"Your father being Sir Reginald Hargreeves? And I used to call you R/N, if you like it I can keep calling you that."
She asked and offered. I thought about the name for a second, it did seem familiar but I could have never guessed it was my father's.

As for the name I used to have, I kind of wanted a different one as I didn't know who I was before and wanted to be my own new person in the case I didn't remember.

"That name does ring a bell. As for the latter, I think I'll figure out a different one in a matter of time." Time, time, time I have had enough of time. I have been in that weird chamber for 39 years-

I think... It's weird that I remember that, it must've been important... Well 39 years is a long time. And why do I look 15 when I am 54 in actuality?

I had lots of questions, but I wasn't going to info dump this poor woman who seemed to be my mother so I decided to keep it to myself.

"And where are we?"
I said in almost a whisper. As my vision gets even better I look around to a dimly lit room with brick lined walls that had several cracks in them.

I touched the door of the chamber and suddenly remembered something from where I've been this entire time.

I was in a time chamber, when inside a time chamber time kind of stops and you get frozen into a cryogenic sleep and your consciousness gets put in a sort of digital or dream-like world for God knows how long... Guess I was in there long enough that I developed a new ability. Psychometry, the ability to psychically gather information about a target from close contact. Could be useful I guess.

"We're in the basement. Come with me I'll take you to Pogo, he might help you remember."
She said in the same exact tone. I had no idea who she was talking about as I had no recollection of a Pogo.

"Who's Pogo?"
I said in a whisper like tone again.
"Don't freak out when you see him, but he's a human-like chimpanze... But, are you hungry? I can go get you something quickly"
"Yeah I kind of am, thank you..."

And then she left to get something as I stumbled into the bigger part of the basement. I quickly realized that this basement was big. And that meant the house above was big, maybe we were a rich family afterall. And maybe... No definitely, they were a powerful family. As in superpowers.

I'm not too sure about what superpower I had but I'm sure that I'll figure everything out soon enough. The universe must be on my side if I got woken up by dear old Grace.

While waiting for Grace I explored the basement a little more and almost went outside but I was just a little too scared yet.

Do I have a family other than "mom" and "dad"? Were they biological? Is my alleged "dad" dead? Am I still in the chamber and just imagining this? Who even am I? How was it like in the chamber?

Okay, let's go from the start... I'm probably human, I have hair, I have limbs and body parts so not something unusual... I thought when I suddenly remembered something again, I do have a family, an adopted one that I never saw as family, more like classmates or friends. In the lineup of these so called "siblings" I was the eighth one.
