Elwia woke up to the sound of Astoria yelling. It literally sounded like someone had died and she was the one to discover the body; unfortunately for Astoria, that wasn't the case. It was even worse; she had stabbed herself in the eye with the mascara wand.

"Oh no!" Astoria winced and tried her best to undo the damage.

Pansy just laughed at the scenario and Elwia smiled with amusement. The time was 7:00, and classes wouldn't start till 9:00, so she had plenty of time to take a long shower and make herself look somewhat presentable.

The hot water felt amazing against the girl's ivory skin. She loved having showers where the temperature was close to boiling. Elwia washed her scalp with shampoo and massaged her ends with conditioner. They both smelt like caramel and cherries, her signature scent. Elwia scrubbed her body with the same scent of body wash. Smelling good made her feel good.

Elwia looked at herself in the foggy mirror. She had green eyes, pink plump lips, and dark brown hair. Her mother and sister looked really different compared to her, they both had blonde hair and blue eyes. Elwia always guessed that she had probably gotten her father's genes, but it's not like she would know, since she never got to meet him. Elwia's mother refused to talk about him; she was suspiciously secretive about it. When Elwia was younger, she would always ask her mother about it, but as the years went by, she learned not to.

Elwia loved her sister and mother, she had had a good childhood. Elwia didn't want to come off as ungrateful, but for some reason she still always felt as if something was missing. Her life wasn't complete, she was yearning for something; not for something new– it felt as if she had lost something she knew in past life and had to find it and get it back.

As a result of looking at herself from the mirror for too long, Elwia's face had become distorted. She didn't recognise her features anymore. The girl quickly closed her eyes and shook her head. This happened sometimes; it was nothing new.

Elwia, Pansy, and Astoria walked together laughing in the Great Hall, and saw Harry giving her a smile and waving his hand. Elwia wasn't yet over what had happened at breakfast on Saturday. She was quite hurt over the fact that they were judging her over a Hogwarts house. Elwia loved being petty, so she merely nodded with a tight smile and turned her gaze towards the Slytherin table. There, she found the rest of the group already sitting and eating.

"Good morning," Elwia said energetically and poured herself a cup of coffee.

"Not anymore," Malfoy hissed while reading a book.

Elwia looked at him with a scowl and said in an amused tone, "Shut up, Malfoy. Did the bleach get too deep down your brain or is there a wand stuck up your ass? You've been having that uncomfortable nasty expression for a few days now, I mean, I'm getting worried already."

The group started laughing, and Blaise patted Elwia's shoulder proudly.

"Shut up, French slut." Draco scoffed, his voice laced with venom, and the table went silent.

Elwia stood up quickly, grabbed a sharp knife from the table, and put the blade against Malfoy's throat.

"If you ever call me a slut again, I will kill you." She hissed and sat back down. Her mood was now ruined. She knew she would be having problems with him and Elwia was not one to tolerate an attitude like Draco Malfoy's.

"Okay, deep breaths for both of you. Although I only blame you, Draco." Blaise scolded and shook his head in disappointment, "Let's get to Potions now, and let's not kill each other on the way there, okay?"

The walk to Potions was quiet, except for the one time that Theo and Adrian started giggling like little girls for no reason. Elwia could feel Malfoy's eyes burning a hole through her head, but she didn't have the energy to let it bother her. She didn't want to give bleach blondie the satisfaction of annoying her. He in fact did not annoy her, not one bit; Elwia did not pay mind. But she couldn't help but get annoyed; who did he think he was? Actually, there was no way she was going to let that slide.
