Ever since I was a child, I knew that there were certain things that I needed to keep to myself. Growing up for me, family was always interesting and never boring but there was always a sense of caution with a hint of imminent danger. My parents never let me see their fear directly, however I could always tell when I became the topic of conversation when they thought I was not looking. Sometimes I do not think that they remember that even thought I am deaf and cannot hear I can still read facial expressions and their lips. It was not until one week in October, when things changed.

One night when my parents were putting me to bed, I felt a surge of energy rush through the air. Without missing a beat I see someone burst into my room and grab me and then next thing I remember was nothing but darkness and muffled noise that sounded like muffled voices, then nothing.

The next time I get to see daylight,  I am running for my life out of my cage not paying any attention the bodies that litter the other cages. I was only four years old when I was taken and it finally took me almost twenty years to escape my captors and disappear. What I did not account for my place of capture looked to be a giant cargo ship that looked to be docked in the harbor of a city that I honestly could not recognize. I immediately decided to make any more life altering decisions I jumped the railing of the ship and swarm to shore. Once I'm at the dock of one of the ports, I found a ladder to pull myself out of the water and try to find my way into the city and try to come up with a plan of what I need to do next.

I waited with bated breath as I snuck in and out of warehouses and crept through alleys thinking that it would be a shortcut out of the wharf and into the city but my surroundings just kept getting more and more unfamiliar to me.  Without meaning to I just run and keep running until I reach a hidden bar that I think was called Lupin. To be perfectly honest I just barely glanced at the sign before bursting through the door. Last thing that I remember was someone who looked to be about my age but covered in bandages rushing to catch me as I fell to the floor.
