It is now mid afternoon the next day, I am currently calling Caroline,
"What!?" She yelled
"Well hello to you to care." I say
"Hayden, I'm so sorry I thought you were Damon." She says
"It's alright but I am on your porch, I need your expertise." I say
the door opens,
"What do you need help with?" she asked
"Well I need something nice to wear and as you know I don't own any nice dresses," I say
"Of course! come in." She says with a smile,
Me and Caroline sort of clicked when we first met, sure I'm slowly dying but she's always been there for me like a sister,
I walk into her room, she claps her hands together,
"So what sort of event?" He asked
"Dinner party.." I say
She arches a brow,
"I'm meeting a family." I say
"May I ask who the lucky man is?" she says wiggling her eyebrows,
"Oh no, no it's nothing like that." I say waving my hands,
"He just wants me to meet his family." I say
"Does he have a name?" she asked

"Like Damon, or Stefan," I say with a smile

"Fine, but I am telling Stefan!" She says
"Deal." I say with a chuckle,
"Hmmm, how about this one, dark blue, with the white sweater." She says

After getting dressed, and wearing flats, I finally arrive to the massive house. I knock on the front door and Rebekah answers,
"Hayden, it's lovely to see you!" She smiles hugging me, I was taken back but hug her back,
"You too, thank you for inviting me." I say with a small smile,
"Of course, we don't get many guests." Rebekah says
I enter the home,
"That's because you always scare them away." I hear and unfamiliar voice,
"Oh hush Kol." She says,
"Hayden this is my other brother Kol." Rebekah says
"It's lovely to meet you darling." Kol says taking my hand kissing the back of it,
"It's nice to meet you as well." I say with a smile,
"Kol enough with the flirting," I hear Klaus
I see him and Elijah walk into the room,
"Ah, Hayden it's lovely to see you again," Elijah says
"You too." I say with a smile
"This way, we have everything set up," Klaus says

We all sit at the table,
"Everything looks delicious." I say with a smile,
"Now Hayden I understand you and your family settled here only a few years ago," Elijah says
"Yes, we are originally from New Orleans, but we moved here because my father got relocated for his job." I say
"New Orleans how fascinating." Klaus says
"We settled there in the twenty's for a bit." He says
"What were the twenty's like I bet it was much more cultured than it is now." I say with a smile
They all chuckle
"It was, the music, the art, the people the time was much more different." Klaus says
I humm,
"You don't seem so afraid of us giving you are human." Kol says
I smile at him,
"Should I be? I like to make my own judgment on people, no based off of other's point of views." I say with a smile
They all look shocked at my comment,
"I'm sorry but I'm not one to judge, I like to understand why someone does what they do, if that makes sense." I say taking a sip of my drink,
besides, I don't fear death, I know it's approaching faster than I would like it to, my parents want me to be perfect in every way for their image, so when I got sick we packed up and moved just because I embarrassed them at a gala we were at when I started coughing up blood and passed out,
I knew my parents never truly loved me I was born for their perfect family image,
"You truly are different." Elijah says
I shake my head no,
"No, I just don't pass judgement on people, I like to understand.' I say with a smile,
Everyone chuckles at my comment,
"You know Hayden I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship." Klaus says
I smile
"I would like that." I say with a smile,
