Part 1

Hi, my name is Yangyang and this is my story of how I met my husband who I thought was just an ordinary and normal citizen of Liyue.

In case you didn't know what a Pure Elf is, Pure Elves are a rare race with extraordinary and rare abilities. Some elves have weak powers but some have stronger ones. I was born in Liyue as the last heir to the Pure Elves. My power was purifying anything by singing or humming. I've gotten several questions like "can you revive people from the dead?." I have never tried that before so I wouldn't know. If I'm being 100% honest, I've never known or figured out the full extent of my ability. It's not like I tried but I guess I was just too clueless. My ancestors had many amazing abilities and used their powers for the good only. I hoped one day I could live up to my ancestors legacy and bring harmony and peace to wherever I go. One day I was looking for a job that could help me pay for my tuition and studies of fashion and design. I've always loved fashion and design. My parents would take me up to Fontaine and bring me to fashion shows and show me the wonders of the beauty in Fontaine. One day I accidentally bumped into a young woman with long dark brown hair fading to crimson at the tips. She was really pretty and she looked very eccentric. I immediately apologized for bumping into her since I didn't know where I was going and felt very embarrassed.

"I'm very sorry for bumping into you Miss, I didn't know where I was going. You're not hurt are you?" I said in a sincere tone with my eyes glowing with concern. The young girl replied with.

"Nope, I'm fine! Don't worry about me, I didn't see where I was going either hehe" The young girl then looked at me with a mesmerized expression like she had seen the most exciting thing she has ever seen. "Wow you're very pretty! I wonder what you are doing here at this time early in the day."

I blushed shyly at her compliment. She was very nice indeed and very hyper. "I was looking for a job here. Something long enough to help me pay for my tuition and studies here. Unfortunately I have had no luck yet" I had said my expression turning somber. The young girl looked at me with a sympathetic look but then turned excited. She spoke in an upbeat and hyper tone.

"How about this? You can come work for me! At the Wangsheng Funeral Palor, The benefits will be good for you and will have unlimited PTO!"

I beamed with joy and relief. I couldn't thank the young girl enough. This was just what I needed. A fresh start with no more struggling or any more pains in the road. I thanked the woman so many times we both ended up giggling. I asked the woman.

"By the way, I'm Yangyang, what's your name? We should talk more if you would like to, maybe some tea at the Xinyue Kiosk?"

The young girl beamed with happiness at my invitation and replied "Of course! I never pass up an opportunity to have tea with the most beautiful girl in Liyue! I'm Hu Tao, the 77th Director at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Pleasure to meet you, Yangyang!" The young girl responded enthusiastically, I can tell she was very eager to have me work for her and that made me more relieved than ever. Honestly I thought she was going to be one of those bosses who would give you those cold attitudes and talk down to you, thankfully I was wrong. Me and Hu Tao switched emails and phone numbers and we went our separate ways.
I was feeling happy and relieved, finally knowing that I was going to meet my goals and start my own fashion line. My parents would always tell me when I was a child to have high hopes even though these kinds of situations may seem like it will have no light and are hopeless and you can't do anything. I was walking home after my interaction with Hu Tao, my body beaming with joy, I finally made it home safely with high hopes. I got a text with Hu Tao with a confirmation date of when I can start.
I told my parents and they were so happy for me, I can recall them cheering and jumping up and down. My parents might be old but they are still full of energy and hope. On the day I started, the first rule of having a job was to be 30 minutes or an hour early, so that's what I did. I arrived an hour early and went in through the employee door in the back of the Parlor. Hu Tao was the first to greet me happily and started showing me around the Parlor. I noted all of the rooms and area in the Parlor by memory which was easy for me. I started training and passed the tests and quizzes and quest scenarios by flying colors. A few hours into my new job, Hu Tao approaches me and speaks in the happy tone she is known for
"Yangyang! I want you to meet someone. I think you two are gonna be great co-workers" I reluctantly nodded and followed her to meet my new coworker. I was so nervous and my gut kept sinking, I for one wasn't always the talkative and eccentric one like Hu Tao so just thinking alongside someone made me nervous and anxious. When Hu Tao and I finally reached the person I was going to be working with, my heart started pounding and my cheek began to blush. He was the most beautiful and handsome man I have ever met or seen. Hu Tao noticed my cheeks and expression and was mischievous giggling, she then introduced me to him.

"Zhongli! This is Yangyang, our new recruit worker here, she's gorgeous isn't she? I think you two are going to be the best of co-workers!"
Zhongli then looked at me but it wasn't malicious or intimidating. It was more like a...soft, calm and thoughtful. He then spoke in a soft yet deep tone which was the sound of his actual voice which made my heart pound even more.

"Ah, hello Miss Yangyang. I look forward to working with you. I believe that our expertise will make us good coworkers. I am looking forward to get to know you more"
