I walked back over to the couch with Emmie and lied down on the floor in front of it.
"Why did you leave to go help them? Emmie's stuff is so heavy and I had to carry the rest of it by myself." Edward asked after kicking me slightly to get my attention.
"I honestly don't know, they just looked like they were struggling. Their magic has this like weird aura that I can't quite place. Before I knew it I was walking over and asking if they needed help." I still have no clue why I went over there, but honestly I am really glad I talked to Al.
Emaline leered over me with an evil grin, "Sounds like you already have a crush on them," Their sing-songy tone made me even more ticked off at them.
I threw a pillow at her face, making her swing back into her chair, "I do not have a crush, I just made a new acquaintance, that's all Em."
"Totally~~~~" Emaline responded and dodged the second pillow I threw at her. The pillow ended up flying into Edwards face, and it only took a few seconds for that to deteriorate into a full blown pillow war.
I snuck around a corner to see Edward and Emaline standing back to back, searching for me. What's the point in knowing the basics of light manipulation if you aren't going to use it, so I snuck up behind them with two giant pillows completely invisible.I launched the pillows at them, knocking them to the floor. My illusion faded away as I shouted, "I win losers!"
"Booo!" Emaline and Edward groaned in unison as they got up from the floor, a little winded, and maybe even a little bruised.
"Well instead of goofing off I am going to check around campus and see if there is anything people need done." I said before sauntering to the door of her dorm.
"Fine, leave us for your new s.o." Emmalie said through a fake gasp as I walked out the door.
I walked to the elevator but before I went down to the ground floor I stopped by the fifth floor. I wrote down my number on a slip of paper that said they can text me if they need any help around campus before slipping under Al's door and going down to the ground floor.

I walked out onto the quad to see all the students bustling around already to explore and reacquaint themselves with the layout. I walked toward the headmasters office, but when I got there I saw the King and Queen sitting in the headmasters office.
I knocked on the door before walking into the office, "Mum, Dad what are you all doing here? And why do I feel like I am in trouble?"
"You aren't in any trouble dear, me and your father heard that there was a new student starting this year that needed some help controlling their magic and so we wanted to see if you would be able to help them this year." My mother said as I started walking towards them.
"I don't know, I'm a little busy. With all of the activities I run, being an R.A. teaching down at the school, I don't know if I would have a whole lot of time to help them one on one." I stated hesitantly, it's not like I don't want to help, I just don't know if I can.
The headmaster spoke, "Well our hope was that they could shadow you during all of that as well as some additional one on one help. If you do agree you will be moving into a joint dorm once we inform the student that you have agreed to mentor them."
That's not actually not as bad as I thought it would be, it wouldn't be to bad, how hard could it be to teach some newbie. If I can teach a bunch of elementary kids I'm sure I could help mentor a college student, I've been doing it for yours this will just be a bit more... intensive. I took a very large breath before finally saying, "Sure, I can try my best to help them."
