"I let him get away.."
.
"Reporting back,"
His voice rang over your ears almost making you stop at your track—you were at Japan, deciding to suprise them since you learned that there was a Kaiju outbreak earlier.
"Kaiju No. 8.....Has escaped,"
He proceeded, you almost halt your steps yet—you still kept jumping buildings over buildings. You were at district Foxtrot, trying to locate Kaiju No.8 since you knew it had escaped when sounds of battle died down.
You fastened your pace with your AR-0007 on your hand—ready to be used. The scent of Kaiju never leaving your nose as you followed that scent.
You found yourself in front of the Kaiju you were looking for, your weapon extended in front of you, your right leg stretched in front of you to support your balance.
You looked at the numbered kaiju who seemed to be looking on it's environment. You were on top of a building ready to shoot once permission was given to you.
Rookies and other member of the defense force had finished eliminating the other Yoju—minding their own business when suddenly—a sound on their earpiece started making a loud screeching noise eventually getting a groan from everybody who was wearing it.
"This is [Y/N] [L/N] speaking, Okonogi-san. Requesting permission to get rid of Kaiju no.8 in front of me."
You stated, getting a gasp from everybody else. Mina Ashiro who was watching everyone perked up when hearing your voice, while on the other hand—Soshiro Hoshina who was sulking earlier widened his eyes.
"L/N-san!?"
The other side replied, hearing the voice you knew it was Okonogi, you chuckled when hearing her confused and shocked voice.
"Okonogi-san,"
You repeated, indicating that there was no time to waste.
"Y-yes.! Request granted!"
She exclaimed before you smirked, satisfied at her response.
"Full combat power... 100."
. . .
There was a thick tension when you revealed your combat power, others were in awe, while others were in shocked—thinking that you were probably in the first division.
