"WHO WANTS THE FIRST SLICE?" Kreig screams, swinging his buzz axe as I take down Boom and Bewm once more. I completed my tenth true pacifist run, so I'm rewarding myself with a little Borderlands 2 as my favorite playable character. I really do play this game too much.

The brothers are easily cut down when my phone starts ringing. Oh no. I swear, if it's freaking Aspen Dental-

Oh, it's my brother.

I have two younger brothers, Rhys and Elliot. Rhys is the middle child, with wild brown hair and dark sapphire eyes like mine. Elliot is the youngest with a mouth problem, but he's cute nonetheless with his light chocolate hair and green eyes from Mom.

Rhys doesn't let me say hello when he word vomits all over me. "Nep, I need your help!"

"Hey, good afternoon to you too, lovely brother." Sarcasm is a second language for talking to my middle brother.

"I have your job."

"You what?!" If I knew Caspian was gonna fire me like that I-

"No, I didn't take your job. I mean I'm a personal assistant. And I need tips bad. Oh, please tell me you'll- Crap! She's calling! I have to go- bye!"

And he hangs up like that.

Okay, that was fun. Back to Borderlands.

I cut through psychos and marauders with ease, leveling up to level six. For some reason, I use all of my brain to decide what my one skill point will be put into. I mean, there are plenty of Kreig builds that strengthens certain parts of his-

Oh, come on!

My phone rings again and I think my brother's calling again, but then Rest Employed plays from my phone, and that means one thing. Aspen Caspian is calling me.

I'm sure it's small. Said no one ever.

I put the receiver to my ear. "Hello?"

"Neptune." The moment I hear his voice, hairs spike up everywhere on my body. "What is a good Zero build?"

It takes me a second before his words register. "A good what?"
"Zero build. He's my favorite out of the Vault Hunters and I want to know what I should invest my skill points in."

"Your... are you playing Borderlands Two right now?"

"Yes. I just met Sir Hammerlock." The image of him hunched over a tiny little computer brings a smile to my face. "What would you suggest?"

A thousand and one ideas pop into my mind, but one question stays stagnant though all of them. "Is this your first time playing?"

He grunts in confirmation.
"Don't worry about builds right now." I'm horrified to hear my tone lighten. "Just enjoy the game and story. Then you can worry about guns and builds and all that jazz."

Silence is taken up for a few moments. I think I hear light tapping from his end, but I'm not sure.

"Neptune?" He asks.
"Yes?" Gosh darn it, why am I so gentle right now?
"Why do you like this game so much? I don't understand any of it." His frustration is prevalent in his voice.

"It gets way better, and you're not too big on the gamer mind. It'll take a second to get used to." I have to hold the words but you'll get it in my throat, swallowing them down in one gulp.

He grumbles. "You should teach me to play."

"There are plenty of committed Youtubers who would love to teach you." Ah, there's the sass. I was wondering where it went.
