Miadri

I sat on the cliff, crisscrossed, staring at the kingdom of Trenia. Trenia is a beautiful place above Fiore off the land, way in the clouds. We have many people but no one has dared to step foot in the Kingdom or out as there was a giant bubble to protect the citizens. We had one guild and it was a dark guild which was quite funny because when you look at the kingdom from this view, the sky was a beautiful shade of blue, purple, and pink. The moon was so big that it looked like it could cover the whole city. We were a floating island and well the King fell ill which caused a handful of people to riot and create a dark guild. Ironsins Guild. Ever since the King passed everyone has blamed the Queen for his passing. I looked up at the sky and sighed.

"Miadri, where have you gone? How could you leave me?" I spoke quietly, reliving the past.

"Kiddo, you can do this!" Miadri spoke while I kept trying to use my different powers.

"I don't think I can do this, Miadri." I felt tears well up as I looked at the dragon. His eyes had sympathy in them along with patience.

"Jewel, you're an elemental dragon slayer now. You are stronger than you think. You possess many powers. Jewel, you possess water, ice, fire, earth, wind, light, shadow, lightning, and poison magic. All the elements to life are what you possess. You will be an extremely powerful dragon slayer. You'll be able to defeat anyone. You can do this, Kiddo."  I nodded and got back to training for days to weeks to months. Miadri was a beautiful dragon. You could tell he possessed multiple abilities. One wing was as red and orange as fire. His body was green with brown design to represent earth or nature. His hair was white as the clouds in the sky. His other wing was as blue as the ocean. His eyes were mixed of blue and green with white specks like stars in the night sky.

I thought about how he disappeared when I was asleep in a little small treehouse. I called out to him for hours but nothing until a couple found me. July 7, X777 was the worst day of my life. I stayed to myself and it drew more people in because of how quiet and mysterious I was. I was mute even in my guild. Yes, I am part of a dark guild. I never thought I would ever be. I always go to quests alone in hope to find my father. Nothing worked and I never want to give up. The wind blew through my hair and I inhaled it, feeling the air flow through me. That's one thing about Trenia, the air tasted amazing. 

"Jewel!" I turned to look at my partner. Reno, my flying cat but in his human form. Reno dressed like a prince but he was the complete opposite of a prince. Reno was wearing a white button up that was tucked into white pants. Blue tie tucked into a cropped blueish purple jacket. HE had blue boots that went below his knee and his hair was a blue with shades of color that were like the rainbow to match my white hair with rainbow tints throughout. I hummed.

"I was wondering if we should go outside the bubble." I gave him a look and he plopped down next to me with his tail swaying around and his ears are folded like he was sad. "I know we can't go outside the bubble but I mean the queen brought you to this world. No one knows that you're the queen's daughter so maybe you can somehow convince her."

"Reno, I can't convince my mother. My father disappeared."

"Miadri?" 

"Yes and then my dad passed away due to murder. A dark guild murdered him by poison while he was outside the bubble. That is the reason why no one could step foot outside of Trenia."

"I know." He mumbled while putting his head in his hand. 

"But." I seen his ears perk up like he was hoping I would say yes.

"We don't know what it's like out there so maybe I can figure out something to convince the queen." 

"Yes." He hugged me and I shook my head at his excitement.

"What shall we do, milady?" 

"Just go back to our home and I will meet you back there to see if it works." He hummed while spreading his wings and flying back. I left back to the palace of the queen and walking inside as the guards greeted me. I knocked and heard a come in to see my mother sitting on the chair sipping tea while in the library. 

"Jewel, sweetie."

"Hello, mother."

"You rarely visit. How have you been?" I sat down and took off my hood. 

"I don't want anyone knowing I'm your daughter because they already think I'm weird and mysterious. I get looks everywhere I go and they'll look at me different if they find out. I want to protect you and I failed to protect dad. If only I went with him, he wouldn't have died." She set her tea down.

"Sweetie, it isn't your fault that your father died. It was that dark guild that killed him. You were 10 when he passed, you wouldn't have been able to do anything."

"Cobra of Oracion Sies. Poison Dragon Slayer." I spoke darkly.

"You know who killed him." 

"I'm an Elemental Dragon Slayer. I knew from the very start what magic it was and did my research. The Fairytail guild went against them and he was sent to a prison for dark mages." My mother sighed at the hatred I had for Cobra.

"Is that why you went to a dark guild? You know how dangerous they are." I looked at her as she said that. 

"You think I'm dangerous?" She shook her head and I stood up.

"You do think I'm dangerous because I possess all the elements. You don't think I have control." I spoke softly. 

"No sweetie, I don't think you are dangerous. You are part of dangerous activities that dark guilds love to do. Steal, kill, cause ruckus, etcetera. I don't want you to go to the dark side."

"I want to kill Cobra. I want to make his life a living hell like he did us. He took father away from us. He killed him. He shouldn't get to live. If I have to leave this bubble and accept the fact that I can't step foot back here then I will. That will be my quest."

"Sweetie, please don't he is in prison. He won't be getting out. Please don't do this." I stopped and looked over my shoulder. 

"Do you think I am dangerous mother, yes or no? Do you think you can handle a dragon slayer who possesses all this magic power? Someone who could wipe out a whole kingdom?" She stayed quiet and I hummed before I left with my hood up and my mother called out to me. I left back to the treehouse and Reno was in his cat form and he looked at me as I grabbed a bag and started to back everything I had.

"Woah, did you convince her?" I shook my head.

"No, but I'm pretty sure I will never be able to set foot back here since she thinks I am a danger." We left and I pulled out a potion I concocted as Reno held me while flying.

"Let's see if this works." I mumbled before pouring it to see it open the bubble and we flew through. We turned to see the bubble have a giant hole that didn't go back to normal. It stayed frozen and I smirked before we flew down to go on a mission to find anyone who would know of his whereabout. We landed since Reno ran out of magic for his wings. He chilled in my shoulder as we left off down Mt. Hakobe. 

"Why did I have to lose power in the mountains? It's so cold, Jewel." 

"Come here." I put him in my cloak and kept him warm and I started running. I heard the sound of crumbling and looked around quick. In the distance I can see a giant octopus monster.

"Is that an octopus in snow?!" Reno yelled. 

"Yes and it looks like it's heading our way." I used my ice magic to create a slide going off the mountain and slid down. I landed and started running and turned before bumping into someone. We fell and I groaned before opening my eyes. I seen a paper and grabbed it to see a picture of a mission and the reward. I started running with Reno picking me up and we started to fly as the person yelled at me. I had no time to see who I ran into but I know they weren't happy.

"What is that paper?"

"A mission to rescue a princess for 150,000 jewels."
