"Jason, Jason," I called out as I approached him.
"What do you want?" he laughed at my energy. I made him come with me into the locked hallway to talk.
"You'll never guess what just happened," I exclaimed.
"What happened?" he laughed.
"She kissed me," I blurted. His jaw immediately dropped.
"SHE kissed YOU?" he shouted, "That is not how I saw that going."
I suddenly groaned, remembering what followed the kiss, "But, I think I scared her off or hurt her feelings or something."
"Oh god, what did you do?" he rolled his eyes.
"She started unbuttoning my shirt and I freaked out and made her stop," I explained.
"And why did you do that?" he questioned.
"Because she's sixteen," I shrugged, "Well that's what I told her, but that's the smallest reason why. I just like her a lot and I didn't want that to be the start of whatever we're going to be. She told me a little about her last boyfriend and it wasn't good. I just want to show her that I'm different."
"This is weird," he looked shocked.
"What is?" I raised my eyebrow.
He laughed, "Seeing you actually like a girl. You've been nothing but meaningless hookups since, well forever. It's nice to see you care for once."
"She's different," I explained, "All of the other girls basically threw themselves at me. Sophia doesn't want me. Well she might now, but she hated my guts. For some reason, I think I found that attractive."
"Man, you're really weird."

"Is she asleep?" Jason whispered from the third row of seats. I glanced to my right to see Sophia curled up in a ball on the seat asleep.
I turned back to him to see Tess resting her head on his lap, passed out, "Yeah, I think so." The uber then pulled into the parking lot of the Barlowe's apartment. I got out first then Tess and Jason behind me. I walked around to the side of the car Sophia was asleep on.
"What?" she woke up startled.
I smiled, "We're home."
She groaned, "My head is pounding and I'm so tired." She held her head in her hands and stared at me.
"Is this a ploy to get me to carry you or something?" I folded my arms.
"I mean if you're offering," she laughed then winced. She was obviously delirious. I rolled my eyes and easily picked her up. Her legs immediately wrapped around my waist and her arms around my neck. She was visibly shocked and her face was turning red.
"What?" I laughed. She didn't answer and hid her face in the crook of my neck. I smiled wider as the uber pulled away. By the time we were all in the elevator, I think Sophia fell asleep again.
"Well aren't you two cute," Tess mumbled, her words slurring together. I just leaned back against the wall and closed my eyes. I was enjoying every second of this. Her warmth, her breathing on my neck, and her legs wrapped around my torso. We walked into the apartment and I headed towards Sophia's room. We were the only one's here. I remember Sophia telling me her parents were staying in a hotel tonight.
