ʚɞ THE GIRLS WERE EXHAUSTED, it had been two days that they'd been looking and Demitra felt like she could sleep on the nearest bed for centuries— they decided to get home as quickly as possible so they took the train, as of now they were on their last ten minutes of the five hour ride— scratch that, six hour ride since the train got delayed.

"Sono così stanco che non riesco nemmeno a parlare inglese o francese.." Demitra murmured into Gia's shoulder, but Gia did not reply, she was dead asleep.

Somebody had to stay awake so they could get up, and Demitra was chosen to be that person with of course no choice. Though she couldn't blame Gia for knocking out, she stayed up and ran around numerous cities in France not just Limoges and eventually had to drag Demitra along to find this man, Demitra was always stubborn when it came to love because she was slow to trust people.

Everytime she would, they would remind her why she didn't.

Though she was completely oblivious to what'd be waiting for her back at Gia's place she felt a sense that something was going to happen in her gut, it was the one thing keeping her somewhat awake. She spaced out thinking about Hamzah and what could've happened in these three days had one of them asked for some form of communication, and as she thought further the train suddenly came to a screeching halt which woke Gia up.

"Venire." Demitra muttered before her and Gia interlocked hands and got off of the train in no hurry, in fact they came back in defeat. They hadn't found Hamzah, and believe it or not Demitra was kind of devastated... the only guy she would've interacted with or actually enjoyed speaking to disappeared into thin air, she was beginning to think that he didn't exist and that the encounter was a maladaptive daydream to keep her head busy.

Gia paid for the cab back to her house as promised and they sat silently in the car, "I'm sorry you didn't find your friend." she apologized in a solemn tone. Demitra only swished her lips to the side and shook her head indicating that it was okay, but Gia knew that nothing would be okay if it brought her to silence.

Gia watched her friend with a sad look on her face, she frowned. "Hey look, when we get back to the house we can have a few glasses of wine and have a little girl's night." she offered to try to cheer her up, "That'd be nice." Demitra softly laughed as she watched the taxi pull up to Gia's penthouse.

The two shared a calm laugh as they exited the taxi and came into the building, Demitra's head on Gia's shoulder as Gia held her friend.

"I'm starting to think Hamzah was a daydream and I'm just delusional." Demitra laughed, "Look he's the least of our worries right now, I have two men who have been staying in my home for two days." Gia replied, "But I trust Martin so I think it'll be fine."

"I don't know any of his friends though..." Gia winced as she approached her door, "Fingers crossed." Demitra crossed her fingers as she watched Gia unlock her door and walk in first. "Honey, I'm home!" she announced throughout the house, footsteps echoed through her hall after she made her loud announcement, "Gia!" a man came through the hallway with open arms before engulfing Gia into a hug.
