it was your birthday and unfortunately you were spending it at a gvf concert. not to say you weren't a fan of the band, of course you were. you had grown up around the kiszkas, you were there when black smoke rising was being written for god's sake. you just wish you could spend the night with your boyfriend instead of spending it watching him run around stage singing. normally you would be amped up for the show, you loved watching your best friends perform. but tonight was different. you wanted to feel special, just for one night. but at the end of the day, you knew what you were getting into dating josh and you wouldn't give it up for anything.
"how are we feeling tonight?" josh spoke into his microphone using the deep sultry voice he sometimes adopted when addressing his beloved fans. the crowd naturally erupted into applause and cheers, you included. you were smiling huge, your heart filled with admiration and love for your charismatic partner. "now, i'm not one for dramatics-" every man on that stage rolled their eyes at josh- "but it is the most special day of the year today. incredibly special, my favorite and probably your favorite celebration of the year." a smile had started to creep onto his face as a look of embarrassment but also joy crept onto yours.
"oh my god you're kidding," jita giggled and slapped my arm.
"did you know about this i swear to-" i began to threaten her until josh's voice cut me off.
"it's my muse's, the light of my life's, my angel upon earth's birthday," he says in an annoyingly romantic voice, smiling in a way that lets everyone know he's amping it up and he's normally not THAT unbearably cheesy. the crowd explodes and you feel fingers pointing and eyes drifting towards you. you cover your face with your hands, peeking through the gaps at josh. he's looking up at you, a smile full of love adorning his face. "in honor of this glorious day i thought i would sing a song we never perform. one i wrote for her." he's smiling huge now, and you have a suspicion of the song he's about to play. it's one of your favorites. your suspicions are confirmed when you hear jake play the "always there" intro.
the crowd, once again, explodes. you hear someone scream "THANK YOU FOR BEING BORN TODAY Y/N!!!" and you let out a huge giggle, glad your ultimate embarrassment is bringing joy to some of the people here.
