8. Hang out

In dawns room

Y/n POV

Me and Dawn are waiting for Mae to arrive and I want to get a snack from what Nicky made but I don't think Dawn would want that after what I saw from then on. So I kinda have a plan to get some snacks in the kitchen, I'll just act like I need to use the bathroom then I can some snacks and hope no one can see me.

"Dawn I need to use the bathroom." I asked standing up

"Oh ok, it's down the hall to your right."

"Ok thanks." I smiled at her and I left her room

I walked downstairs and see no one in the living room which is my great way to get to the kitchen without anyone seeing me. I walked in the kitchen and see the snacks are still the table so I started to eat some fruits and honestly they are delicious, I wonder if this was Nicky doing for Dawn friends or when there's going to be people over. I was thinking about what Dawn said about me probably being special if he never does anything like this before. As I was about to look around for something to drink I see Nicky standing by the doorway.

"Jesus, Nicky you scared me." I put my hand on my chest.

"Sorry y/n I didn't mean it, what are you doing here?" Nicky asked.

"I wanted to get a snack from your cooking so I came down here to get some cause I don't think Dawn would be ok with this."

"Oh right but you seem to be enjoying with the food." he walk up to me as I was getting some more fruits.

"Yea it's really good, you're a really good cook Nicky." I pick a grape and eat it.

"Thanks, do you need anything else besides the snacks." he turn his attention to me.

"Can I get something to drink, I was going to find it before I saw you." I asked

"Yea sure, do you want some juice?" he asked as he gets a cup for me and him.

"Yea I would like that." I smiled.

He grab a juice in the fridge and pour some on to my cup and his cup.

"Here you go." He hand me my drink.

"Thanks Nicky." I grab my drink from him and kinda touch his hand.

I blushed a bit and then took a sip as Nicky put the juice away.

"So is cooking your only passion to do in your free time?" I asked as he walked to the kitchen island.

"Yea pretty much, I usually just make something whenever I want to make." Nicky said taking a sip of his juice. "What about you, do you have any hobbies you do besides skateboarding?" he asked.

"Well I really love to draw, I been doing them for years and I been getting better at it that I would do drawings on myself or something else."

"That's cool, do you have pictures of your drawings that you did?"

"Yea I actually do, I'll show you" I pull out my phone and load up my drawings then show them to Nicky. "I already show them to Dawn and she really like them."

"Wow this is really great, you'll be a really great artist." Nicky headed me my phone back after looking.

"Thanks I'm thinking of being an artist or a professional skateboarder." I put my phone away and lean against the kitchen island.

"That's great, you're already making your future look good."

"Yea but Im just kinda wondering if I don't be any of that cause people would tell me I would need to do something for my future."

"You are doing something for your future, your already a great artist and your good on your skateboard so no one should tell you what you should do for your future. It's your life and your future."

"Yea you're right, I shouldn't worry about what people say about my future I should just keep doing what I love to do and keep it going. Thanks for that Nicky."

"Your welcome y/n." We lock eyes again.

'Man his green eyes are just so pretty, I can easy get lost with them' I thought.

"Your e/c eyes so pretty like you." Nicky mumbles

"What was that Nicky?" I break the silence and acting like I didn't hear him.

"Huh nothing, I didn't say nothing." he was getting all nervous and takes a sip of his drink.

I giggled at him since I heard what he said but I didn't want to say anything about it so I act like I didn't hear it but what he said to me really got me have butterflies in my stomach.

"Y/n I have something to ask you." Nicky put his cup down and looks up to me.

"What is it Nicky?"

"Would you like to hang out with me on Friday?" he was getting a little nervous again.

"Yea I would love to Nicky, that would be great."

"Oh great, I can't wait to look forward for it."

"Me too."

We then heard someone knocking on the front door and someone answering it, I think that was Mae knocking but who just answered the door?

"That must of be Mae, Dawn said she invited her over to have a girls day together."

"I figured, Mae always comes over all the time. She's Dawns first best friend so she's always here all the time."

"That's cool, I didn't have that much friends before they were being so toxic to me that I didn't want to be around them anymore."

"Oh I'm sorry that you have to deal with that." I could tell he felt really bad for me.

"It's ok it really help me to realize what they are and it even help me stay focused on school more better."

"That's good and don't worry we aren't like that, we may cause some troubles for each other or other people but we still have your support and back for it."

We both smiled at each other and laughed at each other for how we are already having a fun conversation together.
