Anjali
The delicious aroma of panner kadhai reached my nostrils, I was just about to have a bite. But, suddenly I stared feeling wierd vibrations and a loud noise echoed.
"Mumma!"
I sat up abruptly and looked around. So I was in my room and not at some restaurant. My attention shifted to my phone which was ringing. So this was the cause of earthquake and that massive noise in my dream.
I sighed in frustration and looked at the caller id, it showed 'Ronit'.
"Hello"
"Hi baby"
My nose scrunched up in disgust. I only like it when he uses these affectionate names. I controlled my urge to say 'Don't call me that you pig head' and said.
"What happened?"
"One of my friend is throwing a party, I am waiting for you infront of your house, come within five minutes."
The call ended. The heck, he didn't even ask me if I was available to attend the event or if I wanted to go. Moreover just five minutes? He is going to wait for a while now.
I went inside the walk-in closet and took my time to select a formal wear and then got ready. It took me thirty minutes. Well that was quick tho.
He was leaning against his car and grinning while talking to someone over his phone. When he noticed my presence he kept his phone in his pocket after hanging up and looked at me with what I think was anger.
"What took you so long? You are not at all punctual. You should understand how precious time is. Don't fucking waste my time like this again. "
This jerk. I wanted to beat the shit out of this guy, but I didn't do so. We sat inside and that's when I spoke.
"If you had so many problems, you should have gone alone."
His looked at me.
"Sorry, I overreacted. But next time make sure you don't take this long."
I wish that next time never comes.
"It's okay."
He drove off towards one of his restaurants where the party was organised and I was looking out of the window.
"Anjali"
Ronit called me and I was about to turn when I saw 'him' on his bike behind us from the corner of my eyes. I turned to make sure that it was him, but couldn't find him.
But I saw him, he saw me too.
I am sure, it was him.
I turn towards Ronit and hummed.
"We might get late on our way back."
"Okay"
Rest of the ride was quiet. We reached the restaurant and he walked inside and I followed him. He introduced me to some of his friends and then I was left alone when his friends decided to go for a few drinks.
I was sitting on a table, in the corner, alone. I couldn't see Ronit and his friends. He must have gone to the bar section.
I was looking at the pictures in my phone. That's when the picture of my sister's engagement caught my attention. Thoughts about the bond I ended up making with him filled my mind.
I don't share a good bond with my sister. But I am not doing any of this to hurt her. I just don't know what happens to me when he is around, I seem to forget everything. It feels like we go to a different world, where it's just the two of us. I know this is wrong, but...... just like he said I actually like it.
Flashback
It was raining heavily and we were heading towards my house. We were drenched and our clothes were sticking like a second skin to our body. My head was on his back and eyes closed and I tightly clutched on his jacket that I was wearing.
Suddenly the bike came at hault and I opened my eyes. We had not yet reached.
"Kya hua Manav?"
"Kuch nahi."
We got off the bike and sat on the nearby bench. He took mine and his helmets out and I kept my head on his chest.
"Anjali, I know we are just friends but..."
I know where this conversation was heading to. I snuggled more in his chest while he wrapped his arm around me and continued.
"But what if I want us to be more than just friends."
"You are my sister's fiancé."
"I have already told you that I am never gonna marry your sister."
"Still, all this is wrong."
"Even if it is wrong, you like it. I can see it right through your eyes honey. Don't lie."
I don't have anything else to say. We stay in the same position for a while. None of us say anything and the silence feels oddly comfortable.
We were getting wet under the rain and that's when he moved away and held my face in his hands. They were cold and I shivered. He slowly leaned towards me and placed his lips on mine.
My body froze and ig so did his. He didn't move for a while but then slowly he took my lower lip and sucked it. I gave in to the kiss.
It was my first kiss.
It felt like he poured all his love in the kiss, it was like he was telling me how precious I was to him.
I was no longer feeling cold. My hands were wrapped around his neck.
He slid his tongue inside my mouth, and the rain drops mixed with our saliva.
The need to breath took over my desire to kiss him and I patted on his shoulder. He pulled out and placed a soft peck on my forehead.
We both were panting heavily and he spoke.
"You are the first girl I've kissed."
Something happened in my stomach when he said that. But it was hard to believe because they way he kissed, it felt like he has done this for his whole life.
"Me too."
I looked at him and his eyes turned a shade darker. He leaned forward and slammed his lips on me, kissing me again, but this time it was rough.
Flashback ends
My face turned hot and I am sure my cheeks would have turned red. But I came out of my la la land when I heard Ronit's annoying voice.
"Let's go, I'll drop you home."
I nodded and we got inside his car. The drive was quite but Ronit kept trying to touch me sensually, and I kept shoving his hands away. I have a bad feeling about this.
The car came at hault infront of my house and I unbuckled the seat belt and was about to go when he held my wrist. I turned towards him and he kept his hand on the back of my neck and pulled me. He was just about to kiss me when I moved my face.
He pulled back and I could feel that he was angry. Angry about the way I stopped him. Not wasting another second, I rushed towards my house and walked inside my room.
Closing the door shut, I was about to turn on the lights, when someone pinned me to the wall. Before I could shout for help, the person kept his hand on my mouth.
The touch felt familiar and so did the cologne.
"Manav..."
He moved his hand to my waist and sneaked his arm around my waist.
"Why did you go with him?"
