The radiant sun peaked over the horizon, as began to work its way to its position in the sky. The fresh sunlight lit up the scattered areas of civilization on the newly discovered Earth. It was dawn, and the sky is a warm gradient color. As the people woke up, noise eluded from the village, filling up the air.
The village rested on a meadow, with colossal mountains surrounding it. A castle in the distance watched it from afar. It was the start of the 17th century, and lots of things were about to happen.
HRE(Holy Roman Empire) gently opened the door of his room. It creaked slowly, making that irritating sound. He looked around, at the interior of his grand palace. The workers were scurrying around busily even though it was barely even sunrise. They couldn't let their master down...
The plates clattered in the kitchen, and the distant sound of breakfast bounced against the castle walls. HRE walked down the hall, his robe dragging behind him. His giant golden crown rested on his golden hair, almost matching in color. HRE's long elegant hair swayed as he proceeded. Eventually, he found himself in the enormous kitchen.
"Guten morgen," he called out to the cooks, "Wie geht es dir?"
They all halted and looked at him. All of them bowed together in harmony.
"Guten morgen." They all responded as if singing together a chorus.
HRE smiled at them and sat down next to his wife, Teutonic Order. She glanced at him, and they greeted each other. Breakfast went by reasonably fast, as there wasn't any reason to start a conversation. It was just a normal day. Nothing unusual.
After the awkward meal, HRE returned to his room to check on his son. Then he would go to his office. There had been a lot of things to do lately. KOF(Kingdom of France) had been looking uneasy lately. She wasn't herself, and HRE can't help but notice that. He would have to keep a sharp eye on her. They weren't friends, which is the main reason they have to make sure the other wasn't planning anything. HRE signed. KOF was such a nuisance. Another obstacle in his life.
HRE pushed the heavy doors open once again. The room had been reorganized by the maids, who scurried out when he walked in. The curtains had been dimmed, making the room cool. HRE looked over the miniature little bed beside his. His son stared up at him, with big knowing eyes.
"Hallo," he whispered gently. The deafening silence grew louder. His son reached an arm out to him, and HRE swiftly lifted him up. He cradled his child in his arms emitting a soft melody. The little child stared around the room, as if he'd never been in there before. Of course, that wasn't true. He'd spent the last seven years of his life here. HRE patted the little head of his child.
"Come on, Preußen," he said, "you need to eat."
Prussia looked unwillingly at his father, but eventually gave in when HRE started dragging him to the kitchen. They struggled through the hall. It was laced with golden decorations and a bright chandelier lighting it up. It would have been an amazing sight if not for the young Prussia hitting his father on the arm repeatedly as he was forced across the floor towards the kitchen. One of the doors that ran along the sides of the hallway opened, revealing a red and white figure. Slowly, it stepped out of the dark shadows of the room behind.
"What are you two doing?" The figure, Brandenburg, inquired. HRE's shoulders sagged in frustration.
"Little Preußen doesn't want to eat breakfast."
Prussia glared at his father angrily, but then focused his stare on Brandenburg. He was a stranger to him still, and they haven't properly met each other yet. Like lots of the states in the vast empire, Brandenburg has his own office in the East, which is pretty far away from HRE's castle. As a result, they don't see each other much.
