Author's Note:

Hi everyone, I'm a little embarrassed, this story hasn't been updated in a long time.

I've been busy with college and writing a multi-crossover series (Fate Stay X Marvel X The Owl House X Amphibia X Gravity Falls etc.).

That series, while unpopular, remains my main project.

But seeing that there are people interested in the development of this story, I decided to make you happy and write another chapter.

Narrator's POV

The two girls, Luz and Vee, are still in the alley talking to each other.

"Vee, could you tell me where I am exactly?" Luz asks, hoping to get some information.

Among the many lessons Luz has learned

from his family, a good portion of them are centered around knowing the battlefield and your enemy.

"We're in Bonesborough." Vee replies, as she takes a bite of the protein bars offered by Luz.

"It's Bonesborough would it be?" Luz asks, rotating her hand, a gesture that means: she continues to talk and give me more information.

"One of the largest cities in the Boiling Isles, boasting the largest library and best harbor." Vee said, providing a couple of useful pieces of information.

'It might be cliché but I could use a goods storage warehouse or an abandoned warehouse as a temporary hideout.' Luz thinks, coming the port as a rather useful place.

All kinds of goods and people come and go in a place, a useful place to borrow small amounts of materials or find information.

'Once I can find a secluded spot I can study the suitcase-shaped portal.

But if I can't make it work due to lack of understanding of their science/magic I can make a late night trip to the library to get more information.' Luz thinks, creating a plan B in the event that she can't make the briefcase she borrowed work.

One thing Luz has learned from her superhero family and Batman comics is that a good hero always needs backup plans.

"Why is this place called the Boiling Isles?

There are some fabulous hot springs and because of the cute girls that live on the island?" Luz asks with a Tony smile.

Yep, Iron-Man's daughter hasn't just learned advanced science, she's also learned a thing or two about how to charm people.

Vee blushes slightly at Luz's words, clearly the Starks' charm knows no cultural or planetary barriers.

"The name of the country is rather unimaginative. They call us the Boiling Isles, because we are islands surrounded by the boiling sea that can burn anyone lucky enough to fall into the water." Vee explains the origin of the name of this country/island.

This information entered Luz's super-brain, seeing it processed quickly, producing several results.

'A boiling ocean, this means that beach parties and swimsuits are something that probably don't exist in this place.
