Kyouka Izumi has always been a hard worker. Ever since she defected the Port Mafia to join the Detective Agency, her life has completely changed. After she passed her entrance exam, the Agency gave her an overwhelming amount of support. Ever since when Kyouka was very young, her parents were killed by Demon Snow after manipulated by some mysterious mind control ability. Kyouka's mother transferred her previous owned ability and gave her the cell phone as a gift. Regardless, she still misses her parents every day, and Demon Slayer reminded Kyouka of her mother.

After settling in to her new group, Atsushi asked her if they could walk around the town, familiar from the first time they met each other when she was still with the Port Mafia at the time. Kyouka agreed. And then they're off.

During their time exploring around the town of Yokohama, for what they consider as their "date", Kyouka used to have her feelings bottled up, or in this case, suffering in silence. The reason is that because she doesn't want to cry in front of anyone else, even Atsushi. If they see her cry, they would be sad too. Whenever she sees the silhouettes of her parents around town, she would instantly turn around to only find out that they're not there.

Kyouka then notices the truck that still sells crepes to this day. "Do you think you can get me one of those crepes?" she asked Atsushi.

Atsushi smiled. "Yeah, but are you sure? We're gonna have boiled tofu for lunch soon, and it's probably best for you to save her for dessert or whenever..."

"I'm sure. And don't worry about spending your money on me." Kyouka responded, taking her mom's former wallet out of her pocket, "I happen to have enough."

When Kyouka went to the crepe truck, she brought herself her usual favourite. The crepe it filled with two scoops of ice cream, vanilla and strawberry drizzled with strawberry sauce respectfully, along with whipped cream, topped fresh blueberry and strawberries, edible sweet tubes, and finally, a little spoon to scoop the ice cream with. Kyouka's eyes instantly lit up after the first bite from the crepe, and so far it tasted like heaven.

Atsushi carefully has his eyes on Kyouka to make sure that she is doing okay. Although she may looked like she is doing okay, but what about the inside? Maybe she is trying to move and keep her pain as a secret because she doesn't want to make her friends upset. But even if so, she doesn't look like she's having fun.

After Kyouka made her short work at her crepe, she and Atsushi made their way to the nearest police station. Once there, they saw a little boy who looked like he is 10 years old, was talking to two friendly police officers. As Kyouka was observes this, she grasped her cell phone tightly as her eyes widened as she kept her composure as the little boy reported a serious case to the officers.

"Now, can you tell me what happened?" the officer asked softly, trying to get an answer from the child, who was stuttering as he was trying to force the words out.

"My parents were killed." The boy sobbed.

This made Kyouka's heart pound faster when she heard the news.

"How were they killed, if you don't mind me asking." The officer inquired more information.

"A demon struck them while I'm asleep..." the boy whimpered.

From the moment she heard this, Kyouka started shaking. Her eyes were wide and she couldn't get any words out at this point.

"Can you describe on what the demon looked like?" The officer asked.

Not wanting to hear anymore, Kyouka immediately dashed out of the station while trying her best not to show any emotion to Atsushi.

"Kyouka, wait for me!" Atsushi shouted before going after Kyouka.
