TWs: Sibling rivalry, jealousy, what's an SB fic without making fun of Uranus' name? Stay safe :)
The room filled with silence as the brothers glared at each other.
"You're looking well." Venus commented, crossing his arms, "How's the high life treating you?"
"Good, actually." Earth raised his head, "It's better than living in your cramped apartment."
Venus grimaced, his eyes twitching with annoyance.
Luna bit his lip, his eyes glancing between them, "Uhm... hey! How about we watch a movie while eating dinner?"
"That sounds-"
"Great!" Saturn interrupted Jupiter, "It'll be like the old days, right, Jup?"
Jupiter looked at the figure taking up most of the loveseat, his legs dangling off the armrests as he propped his head with his right hand.
"...Right," Jupiter answered hesitantly, his eyes averting from his friend hastily.
"I'll join you guys later." Earth frowned, "I have to use the bathroom."
"Okay, Earth. You remember where it is, right?" Jupiter watched as Earth left the living room.
"Yep." Earth nodded, his feet dragging on the floor as he took his time to get to his destination.
"There's nothing to do right now but try." A muffled voice sounded down the hallway, prompting Earth to perk up at the noise.
'Someone is... singing?' He quirked an eyebrow, shuffling his feet towards the cracked doorway of Jupiter's study.
"There are a hundred people who will listen to you cry..." The singer had an accent, that was for sure. Their voice was soft, yet it was so clear. Earth wanted to hear more of it, "And I get that they don't get it."
Carefully, Earth opened the door, peering into the room.
"But they love you so much that you won't regret it." The person had his back to Earth. He seemingly scanned the shelves for something in particular before looking elsewhere on the shelf. He let out a sigh, "You're at the bottom, this is it."
Earth inwardly grunted as his eyes analyzed the figure. He had a teal and electric blue jacket with black pants and arctic blue hair that went down to his waist. Earth didn't know this person, and he didn't like it. For all Earth knew, this person could be an upcoming competition for the star.
"Just get through, you will be fixed." The stranger continued, "And you think that I don't get it- but I burned my way through and I don't regret it."
'Hah! As if anyone will come close to me as competition...' Earth laughed to himself as he leaned away from the doorframe, puffing out his chest, 'I'm the best!'
"Little things, all the stereotypes... they're gonna help you get through this one night."
Earth huffed, backing away from the door as he continued on his way to the bathroom.
"And there will be a day when you can say you're okay and mean it!"
The amateur singer stopped in his steps, having never heard someone sing a note like that.
'The shift, the tone... he just might be bet- no!' Earth shook his head, mentally slapping himself, 'Don't think like that, Earth! You are the best and you will be a star!'
He nodded, smirking to himself as he started walking once more.

The person's name was Uranus.
Earth had to admit, he was not expecting a name like that. He almost choked on his sparkling water as he watched Neptune bombard the other. When Neptune said he had a cousin, he had been talking about Uranus. Earth didn't see how they were related. They were both wearing different shades of blue, but that's about it. They almost seemed like polar opposites.
When Uranus settled down on the opposite end of the sofa from where Earth was sitting, Venus' eyes shifted toward him.
"So, is your name actually YOOR-anus?" Venus bit his lip as he tried not to laugh.
Uranus sighed, almost as if he expected this question, "It's pronounced YUR-unus."
Venus coughed, a clear chuckle escaping his mouth, "Urine-is?"
Uranus huffed, exasperated.
Earth held back his laughter, "Hehah-! Excuse my brother, he's a hypocrite."
Venus' chuckles died on his tongue as he stared at the other, speaking through gritted teeth, "Hah, uh- Earth, what are you doing?"
Luna frowned, getting up from his spot next to Earth and moving to sit beside Mars and Mercury.
"Why would you assume I'm doing something, Venus?" Earth feigned a hurt expression, a hand raising to his chest.
"Seriously? This is you we're talking about." Venus gestured, "You're always up to something."
Earth felt something within his chest, making his hand clutch the fabric of his NASA-print shirt. It felt like a needle sticking into him, gently prying its way into the crevices of his heart. Venus always said things to get on Earth's nerves, yet why was this time different?
"Earth, about that thing I wanted to talk to you about," Jupiter spoke from behind the sofa, prompting Earth to jump as he hadn't realized the older was there.
"Oh- uh, right." Earth took a second to compose himself, running his fingers through his green and blue hair as he stood up.
Jupiter guided the younger to the hallway before glancing back into the living room, "Saturn?"
Saturn clapped his hands as he gathered a few papers, flittering into the hallway with delight, "Ooh, this is exciting...! These are for you, Earth. It's important to look them over."
Earth quirked an eyebrow, taking the stack of papers and eyeing the front page.
'Jupiter Zeus and Saturn Cronus present...' Earth perked up as he read the following words, "The Supernova Tour?"
Jupiter nodded, "And we would love for you to join."
Earth's eyes widened, "Are you for real?"
"We're as for real as real can get!" Saturn said, "We've watched your growth from when you were sixteen to right now. You're a talented singer, Earth."
"And we know you've never been on tour before, so..." Jupiter shrugged, "This could be it."
Earth's eyes watered with tears unshed, "I- I don't know what to say..."
"You don't have to say yes immediately." Jupiter said, "I know you have Luna to look after and all, so take your time looking over the papers and get back to me next week, okay?"
Earth nodded, despite wanting so badly to say 'yes.' He knew Jupiter was right, though, he had to think before deciding what to do.
And he did have Luna to think about.
Earth sighed, his eyes peering down at the papers in his hands. The amateur singer walked back into the living, his gaze landing on his little brother talking and laughing with Mercury.
'This could be the breakthrough of a lifetime for me...' He thought, clutching the papers in his hands, 'And I'm not letting it go.'
