Mystery Meat

It was nearing the end of August, and as autumn began to roll in, (Y/N) found that her summer had an interesting end.

(Y/N) had spent the summer like any normal 14-year-old would. Spending every waking moment out of the house and with her best friends. Sam Manson, Tucker Foley, and most of all her neighbor and closest friend, Danny Fenton. The four of them did normal things, watching movies, and spending time at the water park and the mall, but mainly they were in the Fenton's house.

Danny's family were inventors and loved the supernatural, mainly ghosts. The four teens were interested in this as well, especially when their inventions worked. Over the summer, Jack and Maddie Fenton had built a strange machine. Designed to view a world unseen, the portal didn't quite work when the inventors presented it to the four.

Disappointed in the failure, Jack and Maddie abandoned the 'Fenton Portal' and the teens downstairs. (Y/N) had felt bad that the two felt so defeated, so she had told her friends that she was going to get a closer look. Danny didn't like the idea of her going alone, so they both suited up just to be sure they wouldn't get shocked by the electrical things in the portal. Both had slipped on a white suit with black outlining their collars, hands, feet, and a belt.

(Y/N) led the way in looking around the portal to see if she could spot what may have happened. Danny looked at the right side of the portal watching (Y/N) investigate, raising his hand and grazing the left side of the portal, unknown to both teens, Danny had found the on switch and had turned the portal on.

There was a great big flash blinding the teens before they felt an immense amount of pain, knocking them both unconscious. This was the day, they had received their powers. Sam and Tucker had witnessed the whole thing and had been helping Danny and (Y/N) keep their secret from the Fentons and your father.

Since the accident, the Fenton Portal has activated and has unwillingly sent ghosts into the real world. Thus, causing Jack and Maddie Fenton to use their ghost-hunting inventions... but not extremely well. Knowing what they had to do, Danny and (Y/N) used their powers to keep the ghost at bay. Since then, Jack Fenton had decided it was time to teach the four about ghost hunting.

Thus, Danny, (Y/N), Sam, and Tucker found themselves in the basement, also known as the Fenton Laboratory, with Jack Fenton, "So, Danny..." Jack said as he stood in front of the four teens who had been seated in chairs with their backs to the Fenton portal.

Danny was on the far left sporting his usual outfit of a white t-shirt with red details around the end of his sleeves, around his collar, and a red oval in the center; blue jeans; and his red-and-white sneakers. On his right was you, wearing a white t-shirt under your blue jacket with light blue accents on the end of her sleeves, collar, and bottom of her jacket; black shorts cuffed off just before your knee; black-and-white boots; and some black bracelets on each wrist. Sam was next wearing a black-and-purple tank top that exposed her midriff; a black skirt with green plaid stripes, purple tights, and black combat boots. Finally taking up the far right chair was Tucker, sporting his red hat with a longsleeved yellow shirt, green cargo pants, and brown boots.

"You and your little friends want to hunt ghosts?" Jack asked crossing his arms proudly to be teaching the four teens.

"Uh, actually Dad?" Danny said as he raised his finger up, "I want to be an astronaut."

"Sorry, Mr. Fenton," you started as Danny lowered his hand and Jack turned to you, "I actually want to pursue (D/J)."

"I was into ghosts, but they're so mainstream now." Sam started as Mr. Fenton turned to the goth teen next to you. "They're like cellphones." Sam was leaning back in her chair truthfully looking bored to be down in the basement.
