A few weeks after the confrontation with Jhoanna, Stacey gathered her closest friends—Maloi, Sheena, and Aiah—at her house for a private chat. The air was filled with a sense of victory and vindication as they reminisced about the recent events. They settled in Stacey’s living room, surrounded by snacks and drinks, ready to finally reveal the whole story.
"So, guys, now that everything’s settled, I think it’s time we talk about the real plan," Stacey said, a mischievous glint in her eye.
Maloi raised an eyebrow. "You mean, the part we didn’t tell Colet and the others?"
Stacey nodded. "Exactly. They have no idea."
Sheena chuckled. "Grabe, hindi ko akalain na ganun ka-naive si Colet at yung iba."
Aiah leaned back, a satisfied smirk on her face. "Yung whole sprained ankle act mo, Staks? Genius. Alam ko na matitrip si Jhoanna doon."
Stacey grinned. "Oo nga. I had to make sure she thought I was vulnerable. It was the perfect way to draw her in. And the teddy bear—classic move."
"How did you even come up with that?" Maloi asked, genuinely impressed.
Stacey shrugged. "Well, after what Jhoanna did to my sister, I knew I had to get back at her. She made my sister’s life miserable with her constant stalking and harassment. Hindi ko pwedeng palampasin yun."
Sheena nodded. "At yung pagpadala ng spy plushie? Ang galing talaga. Making Jhoanna think she had control by letting her spy on you was the perfect way to turn the tables."
Aiah laughed. "Remember when we set up the cameras at the park? Akala ko talaga mahahalata ni Jhoanna, but she was so focused on you, Stacey, she didn’t even notice."
Stacey smiled. "The best part was making her believe she had the upper hand. She never saw it coming when we confronted her with all the evidence. It was priceless."
Maloi shook her head, still amazed. "At si Colet... she was so sincere. She really believed we were just trying to protect you."
"Poor Colet," Stacey said, her tone dismissive. "She was just a pawn. She never needed to know the real reason we were doing this."
Sheena leaned in, her voice low and conspiratorial. "So, what’s next? Are we just going to let Jhoanna go, or do we have more planned?"
Stacey thought for a moment, then smirked. "For now, we let her think she’s safe. Kailangan niyang maghanap ng professional help, and hopefully, she’ll get it. Pero kung may balak pa siyang masama, we’ll be ready."
Aiah raised her glass. "To our success and to keeping Jhoanna in check."
"Cheers!" they all said, clinking their glasses together.
As they laughed and reminisced, Stacey felt a sense of satisfaction. She had avenged her sister and ensured her own safety. The intricate web of deception they had woven had worked perfectly, and they had outsmarted Jhoanna at every turn.
Later that evening, Colet texted Stacey, asking how she was doing. Stacey replied with a sweet message, thanking her for her support and friendship. Little did Colet know, she had been an unknowing participant in a larger scheme.
"Should we feel bad about Colet?" Maloi asked, a hint of concern in her voice.
Stacey shook her head. "She’ll be fine. Mabait naman si Colet at she means well. But sometimes, you have to do what’s necessary to protect the ones you love."
The night wore on, and the conversation took on a lighter tone. Maloi and Colet had been spending more time together, their bond growing stronger after the revelations. Aiah and Sheena teased them, adding to the warmth and camaraderie of the group.
"Basta, Maloi, huwag mong sasaktan si Colet," Sheena said with a wink. "Kita mo naman na sincere siya."
Maloi laughed. "Walang problema. She’s great, and I really like her."
Stacey watched her friends, feeling grateful for their unwavering support. "You guys are the best. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko kung wala kayo."
Aiah smirked. "Eh, syempre. We're your squad, Stace. We’ve got your back, no matter what."
Sheena nodded. "Tama. Kaya kung may balak pa si Jhoanna, she better watch out."
As they continued to talk and laugh, Stacey felt a sense of peace. They had navigated a complex situation and emerged victorious. She knew she could count on her friends, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
In the following days, Jhoanna began seeking professional help, as suggested by Stacey and her friends. The threat she posed gradually diminished, and Stacey finally felt she could move on from the ordeal.
One evening, as Stacey was getting ready for bed, she received a message from Colet. It was a simple text, expressing gratitude for their friendship and support. Stacey replied warmly, feeling a twinge of guilt for keeping Colet in the dark about the full extent of their plan.
"Hey Colet, just wanted to say thanks for being such a good friend. I really appreciate you," Stacey typed, her fingers pausing over the send button. She hesitated, wondering if Colet deserved to know the truth. Ultimately, she decided to keep the secret. Colet’s innocence was a part of what made her special.
With a sigh, Stacey hit send and set her phone aside. She lay back on her bed, staring at the ceiling. The plushie from Colet sat innocently on her dresser, a reminder of the lengths they had gone to protect each other.
As sleep began to overtake her, Stacey reflected on everything they had been through. The lies, the deception, and the ultimate triumph over Jhoanna. It hadn’t been easy, but it was worth it to ensure her sister’s safety and her own peace of mind.
