CHAPTER 2

Zoey

I take my clothes off and hope in the shower getting ready for school. Another miserable day. I sigh. I feel the warm water hit me instantly feel relaxed. Once I'm done I turn the water off and wrap a towel around me and I walk to the sink to brush my teeth next. I grab my toothbrush and toothpaste and I take a look in the mirror and I'm shocked. My face got worse I have a bump on my right cheek. My whole right eye is covered in black and in my left eye its just swollen. I don't know..I don't know what to do! What if my mom or brother catches me?!? I feel tears trying to come out...but nothing comes out. I just stand there thinking really hard. I need to think what can I do?

Hmm... Maybe I could put some makeup on my eyes again then wear glasses and then a scarf it is cold out there anyways. After I brush my teeth. I grab everything and I walk downstairs where my mother is there with a plates some delicious breakfast.

"Honey are you gonna eat?" My mother asks me.

"Uuhh- no mom I good." I try walking fast.

"Why not? Its your favorite Zo!" My brother yells from the hallway.

"I'm just not hungry" I shrug. "Well love you all but I gotta go!" Once I'm outside I take a deep breath of the fresh cold air.

This is gonna be a looong day. I groan and start walking to school.

**Later**
I grab my lunch and I walk outside. I'm so tired that I almost trip and people start to laugh at me. I look around quickly and I look to see the curlyed hair boy looking at me. The one that saved me last time. But he is not laughing like everyone else. He just stares and has a hint of emotion in his eyes. I hid myself in my hoodie and speed walk to a table. I sat there alone and grabbed my book and read.

I like this book. Its about a magical place where you enjoy peacefulness and all your problems are gone. Almost like Neverland or Narnia...or even...heaven.

It would be nice to go to one of those places. All you're problems gone and no bullies or people too judge you...sometimes I'm just embarrassed to even be a part of these species. I finally finish my lunch and I throw the trash away and I'm hoping this time the hour will pass by quick. I want to go home already and deal with this day.
