"Igh put the phone down so we ca' talk."Jane said, leaning forward.

I slowly put my phone down and just stare at her waiting for her to talk.

"Me and Ash used to date, on the low. Like Lay didn't een know, type shi. We wasn't sced to be wit a stud, we jus' wasn't ready to pop out. Our relationship was toxic since it was down low, when we went to da club one of us would go too far wit some broad. With that bein said, we came to a mutual agreement to break up." Janae said, examining my face.

I hum, "Okay, anything else?"

"Yea um, to this day we have feelings fa each other. If you ain't come along, we woulda been in da motion of getting together. But, now we both feelin you. Ion know why she told me to say I jus wanted ta fuck, cus that ain the case."

"So I'm stoppin yall from being together cus yall both like me." I nod, "You know Ash told me that she would get in a poly relationship with me and you."

I continue, "I thought she was crazy for wanting to get wit her friend jus ta get wit me but now I know... How do you feel about that?"

"About what exactly?" She said, leaning back.

I was about to answer but Indigo came back with our drinks, "Here you guys go. Your food will be out in a few." She said, letting her eyes linger on me a little.

Janae mugs her while she walks away. I just shake my head in amusement.

"Back to the topic though, how do you feel about being in a poly relationship with me and Ash. Not saying I would or wouldn't, jus' hypothetical."

"Mm, I wouldn't have a problem wit it. We would all jus' have ta be mature and communicate wit each other."

I hum, "We gon have to set a date-"

Indigo came back with our food, "Here you guys go, enjoy the meal." She said, smiling and then walked away.

"Back to what you were saying, before you was interrupted." She rolled her eyes.

I shake my head chuckling a little, "We should set a date to talk about this. With Ash.. And yall needa talk about ya feelings because yall.. I dont know." I pause looking for the word, "Strange. Yall are strange." I nod and start eating.

She nods "Okay, Ima make the gc and put a date in there that we all are cool with."

I nod.

A Few Days Later

In her car, outside Jaylen apartment

I turn the music down when I see Jay come out.

"Wassup Ri" Jaylen said, buckling her seat belt.

"Hey Jay, where we goin first?" I asked, backing out the parking spot.

"We should go take our pictures first."

"Bett, wanna go to the place with all the graffiti orr a place wit stairs?"

"Graffiti" She said, nodding.

"Igh." I said, turning the music back up.

"So wassup with the three muskestuds?"

I buss out laughing, "That was funny. So boom, Lay only wants to be my homegirl-"

"As predicted." She nodded

"Mhm. Then Ash said she wants me and that Janae only wanted to fuck. But the other day while I was at work, I put two and two together."
