Naina was working in her office, her married life was going too good than she had expected, ever since that night, both of them weren't shy go express their feelings to eachother anymore and come clean. She was signing a few papers when she received a call, from an unknown number. She decided to pick that up.
"Hello?" She said signing the pages.
"Naina?" Her hand stopped, she looked up at Yoongi who frowned at her gesture."It's been a long time since we contacted." Her mother said from the other side.
"I didn't lose the contact, you disappeared from my life." She said keeping her calm.
She had never forgiven her mom for abandoning her, even when she was there with her, she was ignorant and busy in her social life.
"I am sorry, I know I owed you an explanation and presence but the circumstances didn't let me. Your dad took your custody and never let me contact you." She said things in her favour.
Mr. Han didn't want Naina to get influenced by her mom, her husband wasn't a nice man himself so Mr. Han didn't let his wife take his daughter's custody, he didn't want Naina to suffer more.
"I am sure you wouldn't have even if he did." She said looking around in discomfort.
Growing up without a mother figure arose questions in the minds of the people about her upbringing, many supposed her to be just cheap like her mom.
Her mom chose that life but Naina didn't, then why did she suffer for someone else's mistake?
"That's nor true, love. I always loved you, I was away and I couldn't be in touch with you and I am sorry for that." Her mom said in a crying tone. Naina gulped, this was making her feel overwhelmed.
"There is no point of talking about this anymore, the damage can't be undone with a sorry." She was about to hang up when her mom pleaded.
"I am your mom, I atleast deserve a chance to explain myself completely and share my side of the story. You need to hear it, you need to meet me. I want to see you." Her mom cried.
For some reason Naina complied, she wanted to see what her mom had for her now so she complied.
While she was in the car travelling to the restraunt her mom had called her in, she got a call from Jungkook. He was the best part of her day.
"What are you doing?" He liked asking that to her in every few hours.
"Great, I suppose." Naina smiled shortly.
"That means not. What is bothering you? Is it Taehyung? You can share with me, I am willing and wanting to help you." He said eagerly.
"No, it's just, I am meeting my mom." She said massaging her brows.
"Umm, you decided that?" Jungkook asked, he knew about her relationship with her mom so he supposed this was from her mom's side.
"No, but I couldn't resist myself. I am curious to know what she is upto. Might be a bad decision but not meeting her will just be a future regret I don't want to have." She clarified.
"You want me to be there?" He offered.
"No, ofcourse not. I will handle it, I can." She told him.
"I know you can." He smiled and frowned when her assistant seemed tensed when she entered his room."Naina, I will call you back. Call me if anything happens there." He said and she hung up."What's the matter?" He asked.
"There is a lady down there who claims to be involved with you and insists on meeting you, she is determined to not leave." His assistant said.
"Who is it?" Jungkook asked feeling weird.
"Her name is Olivia." She told him and he looked away.
"What is she doing here?" He ruffled his hair.
Maybe he should have replied to her endless messages because his silence drew her here to his office.
"Should I send her in? She has already created a spectacle down there." The assistant asked.
"Okay." Jungkook said moving back.
He loved Naina now, he was even going to make an official confession soon, because he thought she deserved it.
He was making efforts for her, being lovely and he feared if Olivia was going to destroy his marriage. He had gotten over his past, he didn't want to go back now.
He was in an inner turmoil when Olivia barged inside. He looked at her and she seemed too happy and eager.
"I can finally see you, you are so bad for not answering my calls and texts." She smiled and ran to hug him when he stopped her.
"Why did you come here? We broke up. I am married now." He said and her smile dropped.
"I know you don't love her, you must have married her because of your parents." She shook her head.
"I do love her, I have forgotten us, I don't want to remember you anymore." He said firmly.
"But I still love you, I realized how we shouldn't have broken up and instead tried to fix our issues." Her eyes teared up.
"I don't want to think about what could have been done. I just remember we broke up, I moved on and now I love my wife. She is the only woman I am willing to spend my life with now." Jungkook said playing with the paperweight looking down. "You are no one to me anymore and I am not sorry for that. You should move and never try to contact me again."
He felt like he was cheating this whole time, he felt bad and mad at himself for not clearing this matter in the first place.
"You are hurting me Jungkook." Olivia said wiping her tears."Is she that beautiful? Better than me?" She asked.
"She is the most attractive and interesting woman I know. Besides being better than you is not the point. I don't compare her with you. She is perfect to me in her own way. She didn't have to beat you to win my heart. She just did it." He said looking at her."Besides I don't want to start talking about her, I love talking about her and then I won't stop."
"It hurts me to heat you say it. I came all the way back here for you and you are saying this to me. It looks like you never loved me." She looked hurt.
"I am sorry I can't hurt my wife. I love her, not you anymore. Please don't create problems for me and her. The last thing I want is something affecting our relationship." He said looking at her."Please leave, I don't ever want to hear a word from you." He said firmly."Let me be happy with her when I am." He couldn't tolerate the heaviness in the air so he left the room."Escort her out." He said to his assistant going down.
