A New Hope

In the morning Natasha wakeup before kai and to bathroom to take a warm shower and went down stairs to prepare breakfast

After 30 minutes kai come down ready for work as he sat at dining table, Natasha come come there with a cup coffee,but suddenly the cup slip from her hand and the coffee fell on kai kai.

His eyes were burning with anger " don't you know, how to hold a cup also " , kai shout at her in a. Loud voice, he grab her hair there was only few inches distance was between their face , Natasha can fell his breath on her face. Suddenly the door bell rang.

"Are you waiting for me to give you invitetion to open the door", kai yell at miad and she rush towards the door. Kai look at Natasha." Now it,s time for your punishment" .

"What the hell is this kai", kai ,s eyes look at the person who said this. He takes his hand back from Natasha,s hair which make her collaps on floor.

"Take Natasha to her room" with that the miad rush towards her, kai started to walk towards the door," and where are you going kai is this a way to greet you grandfather . Voltaire Said in his cold voice

"I have more more important things to do rather than greeting you", Kai said in a irritating way.
" We have to talk " Voltaire siad in same cold voice and move towards the study room followed by kai,as they enter Voltaire close the door

" Now can I ask what was that", Voltaire asked kai, "she is your wife and your responsibility kai. You must protect her not hurt her"

"Why are you scolding me ,you were the one who had done this marriage " , kai spoke in a loud voice.

" With each passing day your anger is taking over you kai , if this all stay like that you will just become like me ", Voltaire explain kai.

Voltaire's words struck a chord with Kai, and for a moment, he looked taken aback. But his expression soon turned defensive again. "I'm not like you," Kai spat. "I'm nothing like you."

Voltaire sighed and rubbed his temples. "Kai, I'm trying to help you. You're headed down a dangerous path, and I don't want to see you end up like me."

Kai snorted. "You're one to talk. You're the one who arranged this marriage, who forced me to marry .

Voltaire's expression turned cold. "That was business, Kai. And it's what's best for the family."

Kai shook his head. "You never cared about what's best for me. Only what's best for the family's reputation and fortune."

The tension between them was palpable, and for a moment, it seemed like Kai might lash out at his grandfather. But then, he seemed to regain control of himself. "I need to go," Kai said stiffly, and turned to leave.

Voltaire was seeing kai going out the only thing comes out from his mouth was " poor girl ", he leave the study room and move to see Natasha , he take a look of Natasha from a distance as see her body was full of pain laying on bed.

Next day

While serving breakfast Natasha suddenly get unconscious , Voltaire and kai took her to hospital.

As she was taken to the check up room a doctor rush their after 30 minutes the doctor came out with a smile on his face.

"Congratulations Mr hiwatari,Mrs hiwatari is pregnant ", doctor said to kai but emotion of his remin same while Voltaire was happy.

" Congratulations, kai you are going to be a father soon", Voltaire said in a polite tone.

But in kai,s mind something else was going on, he leave the hospital without taking a look of Natasha, while Voltaire take Natasha back home and ask her to take some rest and leave her room.

Natasha,s was full of mix emotion she don't knows how to react " I have to stay strong for you ,I promise I won't let anyone hurt you " , she think in her mind rubbing her belly .

As Natasha rests in her room, she hears the sound of footsteps outside her door. It's Voltaire, carrying a small gift box. "Natasha, my dear, I brought you something," he says, his voice softening for once.

Natasha's instincts tell her to be cautious, but she also senses a glimmer of kindness in Voltaire's eyes. "What is it?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.

Voltaire opens the box, revealing a beautiful silver locket. "This was my wife's," he says, his eyes misting. "I want you to have it. For the baby's sake."

Suddenly kai enter the room , his eyes were filled with anger seeing the locket in Voltaire,s hand ," I want to talk with you grandfather" ,kai said with anger.

As they went out of the room kai look the door and then both of them walk towards the study room, as they enter the room," how can you give this locket to her " kai shout at his grandfather

"It,s your grandmother,s locket kai , it was passed on to your aunty by me, when she gave birth, and now it,s time to pass it to Natasha as is going to give birth ". Voltaire said in order to make kai understand

"No way this locket belongs to Ivy no one else can have it" kai protest

Voltaire's eyes narrowed, his expression unyielding. "Kai, you know as well as I do that Ivy is no longer with us. The locket belongs to your wife now, and soon your child will be born."

Kai's face twisted in anger and grief "This locket belongs only Ivy , and that bitch, I won't let her wear this" .

Voltaire's expression softened slightly, but his voice remained firm. " Kai. you must learn to let go of the past and embrace the present.

Kai's eyes blazed with determination. "I'll never let that happen, Grandfather. The locket will always belong to Ivy, and no one else will ever wear it."

The tension between them was palpable, and it seemed like the argument could escalate at any moment. But then, Voltaire's expression changed, and he spoke in a calm, measured tone.

"Very well, Kai. Keep the locket," he handed over the box to kai and leave the room.

"Hey brother did you think that old man will pass this locket to me after If I gave birth without being married" a woman around kai,s age said.

"This locket only belongs to you , "Ivy " and only you sis ", kai said looking at the sky from the window of study room .
