~5.3k words as an apology~

Eri happily kicked her legs, enjoying her apple as Kemuri looked out the window fondly, contented with the outcome of the day she thought would turn out horrible..

~3rd Person POV (Including Thoughts)~

Kemuri stared out the car window, her elbow propped up against the door. They had been driving in silence for 10 minutes now, only broken by the sound of Eri munching on her candied apple.

"Kemuri." Aizawa called out in his usual tired and monotone voice.

Kemuri let out a small hum, a sound for him to know she was listening as her gaze changed from the window to the rearview mirror, looking at his eyes. She had gotten more comfortable with the man as time went on, seeing how caring he was to the two girls, albeit showing it in his own way.

"Were you..made aware of what's happening tomorrow?" He asked, the car coming to a stop at a red light as his own gaze switched to Kemuri through the mirror.

The girl leaned back in her seat and took a deep breath as she nodded her head. Aizawa gave his own nod in response before his eyes returned forward, the car moving as the light turned green.

Eri tilted her head as she turned to look at Kemuri, "Huh? What's happening tomorrow, Kemuri?"

Kemuri turned her head, looking at Eri before she took out her notepad. She wrote something brief and handed it to Eri. 'I'll tell you when we get back, okay?'

Eri let out a small groan, "Awe, but I want to know now.."

Kemuri smiled with the shake of her head, gently patting Eri's hair, pointing to her almost finished apple. The girl gave a small pout but continued to eat her apple regardless.

It didn't take long until the three were back at the hospital. Kemuri was once again sitting back on her bed, though not connected to any machinery this time. Eri sat in front of her, a few questions forming in her head, though she kept quiet while she thought of the right words. Aizawa was presumably speaking to her doctor outside of the room, their muffled voices being heard from outside the room.

"Kemuri! Can I know what's happening tomorrow now?" Eri asked, repeatedly tapping her sister's leg.

Kemuri smiled and nodded her head. She looked towards the door before looking back at Eri, leaning forward slightly closer to her ear, "I'm..I'm free to leave tomorrow."

Eri's eyes widened, a wide smile spreading on her face, "Wha- Really?!" Kemuri nodded her head as she leaned away from her ear.

Eri immediately threw herself onto her sister, her arms wrapping tightly around her neck as she buried her head. Kemuri didn't hesitate to hug her back, wrapping her arms around her.

"This means you feel better, right?" She asked, her voice mumbled from the hug. Kemuri nodded once again, rubbing circles on Eri's back gently, to which Eri couldn't help but tighten her arms around her.

Even if she didn't try to show it much...she was always worried for her sister. She felt guilty that she could be out, having fun with the class and Aizawa while Kemuri was stuck in the hospital. 'She only got more hurt because of me...She was stuck here longer because Overhaul hurt her... because she tried to help me escape before her..,' she always thought to herself. But she would make it up to her older sister, she'll show her everything that they taught her, and she'll make sure she has fun, just like she did.
