"go on babygirl." said maria taking jane of her lap so she could walk on the stage with her parents. there were a lot of people there, so jane being up on the platform mustve been slightly intimidating—but after paris fashion week nothing really intimidated her.
"hi baby." smiled elle watching jane come up the steps.
"hi mommy." said jane. "are you going to ask me what i think it is?"
"sure thing." she said giving jane the microphone.
"hi. im jane, and i hope its going to be a girl."
vinnie smiled at her, proud of her maturity.
"okay. come." said vinnie picking up jane. "whenever youre ready." he said to elle, so that they could open the box with balloons inside.
the crowd and elle were silent out of confusion, when to balloons came out.
"oh.." said elle and chuckled. "that's different."
"jane, do you know what happened to the balloons?" asked vinnie.
"i have an idea." giggled jane and ran away to look for something, the crowd laughing at jane's cuteness. she brought back something but gave it to vinnie, extremely discreetly. elle was looking into the box, she was immensely confused.
"i think they gave us the wrong box—oh my god." she gasped turning to see vinnie on one knee.
"a couple hours ago, jane was very worried about having a baby sister. and one thing lead to another, and she asked me how i loved you. and for the past days, ive known i wanted to do this—since the moment i met you, whether i accepted it or not, theres been no debate that ill never find a love like yours, and i have no interest in looking around. youve taught me everything there is to know, i want to keep growing this family with you, i want to learn to love you more everyday, i want to fight and be better, i want everything that has to do with you. elle, you've answered every prayer, every coin ive thrown into a fountain, every dream ive ever had has been thanks to you. ive been telling jane for the past days, that after our kids, this is the best present i can ever give you. i want to spend the absolute rest of my life with you, will you marry me?"
"yes." she nodded through tears as he slid the ring through her finger.
for a moment they forgot about their guests and about the gender reveal. it felt like a moment theyd be waiting for forever.
jane hugged her parents, not exactly sure of what happened but she knew everyone clapped and were happy for a reason, and that was enough to be happy.

"hi momma." smiled vinnie walking into their room. "hi princesses."
"shh daddy. johnny sleeping." said his second daughter to him.
"he sleeps through anything babygirl, dont worry about it." said jane to her little sister. "daddy get in here."
"how are you feeling?"
"really happy." said elle looking down at their newborn son who they brought home two days ago. "really really happy."
"thats all i want." he said giving elle a kiss and laying next to them. "i love you all so much. you too big guy." he said looking at his son after his son whined.
"are you guys happy?" asked elle to their daughters.
"very." said jane cuddled with her younger sister.
when stephanie was born, jane never let stephanie go, and when she had to, she was looking forward to going back to her little sister.
once stephanie was slightly less dependent, they planned a very intimate and small wedding, they agreed that theyd do a big party after their honeymoon. but being the people theyve always been with eachother, a month after their honeymoon they we're already expecting their 3rd child, there came jonathan, the newest edition to their family.
"hes such an angel." said vinnie looking at elle. "thank you so much."
"hey you put your work in too." laughed elle. "hes so handsome, he looks like you."
"he does!" said jane. "johnny looks a lot like daddy."
"at least one of you does." laughed vinnie. "so im thinking : a family movie night?"
"yay! we love that." said stephanie.
"can we get pizza?" asked jane.
"sure. if thats what your mom wants to eat."
"please." said elle.
"okay, johnny you gotta get some words out, im out numbered."
"hey, all his food, is right here." laughed elle.
"okay girls, what movie do you guys wanna watch?"
"hmm frozen." said stephanie.
"again?" groaned elle. "lets choose a new one."
"why dont we—in honor of johnny being here, watch what could be his favorite movie?"
"hmm then tarzan." said jane.
"did you know me and your daddy watched that on our first date?" laughed elle.
"really?"
"mhm." said vinnie. he turned on the movie and the girls quickly got intrigued. "i wish i could marry you all over again. look at all youve given me."
"me? vinnie youve given us everything. look at this baby." she said looking at jonathan. "youre blood runs through me, i didnt know that i could ever be this happy."
"i love you so much my angel."
there was no love that could compare to the one they had for eachother. when they started, they knew they were meant to be. as they continued, they knew that without eachother they werent who they were meant to be.
love isnt easy, take that in the most literal way possible. loving someone does not consist of flowers everyday. it consists of setting aside who you thought you were and becoming someone youve never met. but through it all, that is the beauty.
where it began, is where it ended.
the end
