admiration or love? (riley x val)

a few hours go by and it's around 10 pm, i had another twisted tea and i was feeling it. we were all tired so some of the team have left except for dani. which i remember i heard she was sleeping over. i saw val had her attention toward dani more for the rest of the night. i looked over at val and saw she was chatting it up with dani, the short haired looking dyke. was this her type? hm interesting i thought. i looked down at my feet and decided it was time for me to leave. i'm gonna have my mom pick me up since it's late.

i walk over to val and dani and say hey val im gonna have my mom pick me up just wanna let u know,
"oh hey riley i wanna ask you something"
"what's up val"
she pulls me over to inside the kitchen,
"would you perhaps wanna spend the night?"

i raised my eyebrows but i said "ummm sure! i'd love to"
she smiled excitedly, "btw dani was also gonna spend the night but apparently she can't anymore"

"oh seriously that's weird but yes i'm down"

"alright cool yay!" she said putting her arm around riley

val also said " hey maybe we can play truth or dare and have some more alc later"

"oo yes that sounds like so much fun. i'm excited"

last person to leave was dani

as i stood beside val as she said goodbye to dani she caught val kiss her on the cheek.
i was in shock a little, were they talking? i brushed off while val and i grabbed some twisted teas and headed to her room.
i told her "wow i love your room"
"thanks i get that a lot"

"anyways here's ur drink if u want." val said

i grab it from her and open it, feeling the buzz continue. i felt great.
i plopped onto the bean bag as she did the same.
we were laying side by side staring at the ceiling, she had glowing stars on her ceiling that stick to her wall.
the lights were still blue, it was such a vibe as corny as it sounds.
she seemed pretty tipsy as well. we started talking and laughing as we decided to also put some music on.
she turned to her side facing me while we're laying on the bean bag.
"so michigan what music u listen to?"
she had a relaxed smile on her face, she looked satisfied.
" well deff been listening to get up and glow"  i laughed as i said it sarcastically
" ohhh so you really still do like that band huh" val laughed
val admitted " i still listen to them too, i know i said i haven't since middle school but that was a lie" she looked up at me when she said it with a smirk.
riley playfully said "wow ur such a loser" as she chuckled, val rolled her eyes and playfully pushed me.

we played truth or dare but it was mainly truths since it wasn't a group setting. i asked her "so do you like anyone?" val took a moment and looked around the room and said " honestly i kinda like dani"
i couldn't help but feel deflating. i quickly hid that from her however,
"you?" val said
"ummm im not sure"
"oh cmon u can tell me" she said
i nervously laughed
