Yunjin POV:

The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. I woke up, feeling a bit confused by the unfamiliar surroundings for a moment. The memories of last night came flooding back, and I felt a wave of calmness wash over me. I was safe here, in Jimin's home.

I sat up slowly, realizing with a start that the usual morning aches were absent. The bed was soft, the pillows still held the faint scent of Jimin, and for the first time in a long while, I had a peaceful, long sleep.

My eyes landed on the table, where I saw a toothbrush. A new one. It wasn't there last night.

"He must've left it for me."

The bathroom was attached to the bedroom so I didn't have to search for it. I went in and brushed my teeth.

I made my way to the kitchen following the fresh aroma. I found him already awake, his figure silhouetted against the morning sun as he prepared breakfast.

The sizzle of food on the stove and the chirping of birds outside created a comforting atmosphere.

If I were at my house, I'd be the one preparing the food while my stepmother would be criticizing every little thing I do even if it's good or bad.

"𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴" I signed, my movements more assured than last night.

Jimin turned, his face breaking into a warm smile. "𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹?" he asked, his voice gentle.

That's a first. For the first time in years, someone cared enough to ask. I nodded, a smile unknowingly tugged at my lips. "𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀." I signed, feeling a warmth spread through me.

He gestured towards the table, where two plates were already set. "𝗜 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗿𝘆. 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆." he said, the smell of freshly cooked eggs and kimchi making my stomach growl.

As we sat down to eat, the silence between us was filled with unspoken words and shared glances. The food was simple but delicious, and I found myself savoring every bite, not just for the taste but for the normalcy it represented.

After breakfast, Jimin spoke up, "𝗜 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.... 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂?"

The thought of going there, even if I wasn't going there, sent a shiver down my spine. But the determination in Jimin's eyes gave me strength. I nodded back as a reply. But I was worried for him. She's a monster for what she did to me. She ruined my life.
