Nova woke up with a start, her heart racing and her sheets drenched in sweat. She had just had the most vivid and unsettling dream of her life.

In the dream, she was walking through a dark forest, surrounded by towering trees that seemed to lean in closer with every step. She heard whispers in her ear, urging her to go deeper into the woods. Suddenly, a figure appeared before her, tall, handsome and piercing eyes that seemed to see right through her. The dream felt so real that she could still feel the touch of his cold skin on her. She rubbed her eye trying to shake off the lingering fear and confusion.

As she got out of bed and began her daily routine, Nova couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She felt like she was being watched, and the memory of those piercing eyes lingered in her mind, she tried to ignore the feeling so she went to meet her mom "good morning mom" she said as she pecked her mom on her cheek "good morning sweetie, hope u slept well" her mom aurora asked with a warm smile and Nova nodded.

She wasn't thinking straight due to the uneasiness so she went to the woods like she always does to feel relaxed.

As she walked through the woods, Nova couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She had always loved this trail, but today it felt different. The trees seemed to loom over her, casting long, ominous shadows on the ground.

Suddenly, she heard a rustling in the bushes ahead. Nova's heart skipped a beat as a figure emerged from the trees. Tall, handsome, and piercing eyes...

It was him. The one from her dream.

Nova's breath caught in her throat as he approached her. She tried to step back, but her feet felt rooted to the spot. The stranger reached out a hand and touched her face, and Nova felt a jolt of electricity run through her body. "Who are you?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"I've been waiting for you, Nova," he replied, his voice low and husky. "You're in danger. I'm here to protect you."

Nova's mind raced with questions, but before she could ask any of them, the stranger swept her into his arms and took off into the woods. They moved with incredible speed, the trees blurring together as they raced through the forest.

Nova's heart pounded in her chest, but she didn't feel afraid. She felt a strange sense of trust in this mysterious stranger, like she knew him somehow.

As they ran, the woods grew darker and more menacing. Nova could feel a presence lurking just out of sight, watching them with cold, calculating eyes.

"What's going on?" she asked, her voice muffled against the stranger's chest. "We're being hunted," he replied, his voice grim. "And I'm the only one who can keep you safe." Nova's mind raced with questions, but before she could ask any of them, the stranger dodged to the left and burst through a curtain of foliage. They emerged into a clearing, and Nova's eyes widened as she took in their surroundings.

They were in a beautiful, hidden glade, surrounded by towering trees and filled with a dazzling array of wildflowers. A small cottage stood at the far edge of the clearing, smoke drifting lazily from the chimney.

The stranger set Nova down on the grass, and she stumbled a little, her legs trembling. He caught her elbow, his grip warm and strong.

"Who are you?" Nova asked again, her voice a little stronger now.

The stranger smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "My name is Asher," he said. "And you, Nova, are a very special person."

Nova's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"

Asher's smile grew wider. "You'll see," he said. "But first, we need to get you safe. Inside."

He gestured to the cottage, and Nova felt a strange sense of longing. Like she was being drawn to something inside.

"Come on," Asher said, his voice low and persuasive. "You'll be safe with me."

Nova hesitated for a moment, then nodded. She followed Asher to the cottage, feeling a sense of wonder and trepidation. What was going on? And what did Asher mean by "special"?

As they reached the door, Asher turned to her and said, "Welcome to your new home, Nova.

Nova's mind reeled as she gazed up at Asher, her thoughts racing with confusion and fear. "What do you mean, 'my new home'?" she asked, her voice shaking slightly.

Asher's expression was calm and reassuring, but Nova's anxiety only intensified. "This cottage, Nova. It's where you'll be staying now. You'll be safe here."

Nova's eyes widened in disbelief. "No, no, no! I can't stay here! I need to go back to my mom, She'll be worried sick about me!" Asher's face softened, and he placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Nova, your mother is...indisposed. She can't protect you right now. But I can."

Nova's panic surged, and she shook off his hand. "No! I don't know you! I don't know what you're talking about! I just want to go home!"

Asher's eyes filled with a deep understanding, and he nodded. "I know this is overwhelming, Nova. But please trust me. You're in danger, and I'm the only one who can keep you safe."

Nova's mind raced, torn between fear and desperation. She didn't know what to believe or who to trust. All she knew was that she needed to escape and find her way back to her mother.

With a surge of determination, Nova leapt to her feet and dashed towards the door. But Asher was too quick, and he caught her in his arms, holding her close.

"Nova, please," he whispered. "Don't fight this. You're safe with me."

Nova struggled against his grip, tears of frustration and fear streaming down her face. She was trapped, and she didn't know how to escape.

Nova's struggles weakened as tears overwhelmed her. She felt lost and scared, with no escape from Asher's grasp. Her mind raced with thoughts of her mother, her home, and her ordinary life, now seemingly gone.

Asher's hold gentled, and he guided her back to the fireplace, sitting her down carefully. Nova felt numb, her eyes fixed on the flames as Asher sat beside her.

"What do you mean, I'm special?" Nova asked finally, her voice barely audible.

Asher's eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity. "You possess a rare gift, Nova. One that could change the course of your life forever."

Nova's fear and confusion warred with a spark of curiosity. What could she possibly have that was so special? She looked at Asher, searching for answers.

"Tell me," she whispered.

Asher's smile was enigmatic. "Not yet, Nova. But soon. For now, just know that you're safe with me. And I'll do everything in my power to protect you."

Nova's mind whirled with questions, but she felt too exhausted to ask any more. She nodded slowly, her eyes drooping as Asher's words echoed in her mind
