Nova hesitated, her instincts screaming warning signals. But she didn't want to alarm Tricia, so she forced a smile and joined the conversation.

As they talked, Nova couldn't shake off the feeling that Victor was hiding something behind his charming facade. His eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and his words were laced with an underlying menace.

Suddenly, Victor leaned in close, his voice low and menacing. "Nova, I think you'd be fascinated by my art collection. It's...enlightening."

Nova's heart raced as she felt a chill run down her spine. What did Victor mean? And why did she feel like she was walking into a trap?

When Nova joined Tricia and Victor, ignoring her conscious mind's warnings, the conversation turned to art and philosophy. Victor's eyes gleamed with intensity as he spoke about the beauty of darkness and the power of the unknown.

Nova listened, her unease growing with each passing moment. She tried to interject, but Victor's words flowed like a river, drowning out her attempts to speak.

Tricia seemed entranced, her eyes shining with excitement. "Victor, your insights are always so profound!"

Nova's skin crawled as Victor's gaze locked onto hers, his smile dripping with sinister intent. Nova knew that something was off so she tried to come up with something to excuse herself, "I need some fresh air," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Tricia looked concerned, "Everything okay, Nova?"

Nova forced a smile, "Yeah, just a bit overwhelmed. I'll be back soon"

Nova left the group, feeling suffocated by the tension. She decided to take a walk in the garden, hoping the fresh air and silence would clear her head. The cool night breeze rustled the leaves as she strolled along the winding path, her heels clicking on the stone pavement.

At first, she thought it was just her imagination, but soon she felt a presence behind her. She quickened her pace, her heart racing with every step. But it was too late. Someone covered her mouth before she could react, and everything went black.

Nova's world went dark, her thoughts consumed by a sense of dread. She was completely at the mercy of her unknown assailant, with no way to escape or call for help. Her last thought was of Tricia, wondering if she was in danger too.

When Nova came to, she found herself in a dark, damp cellar. Her head was throbbing, and her mouth was dry. She was bound to a chair, with no sign of her captor. But she knew she wasn't alone. She could feel eyes watching her, boring into her skin.

Nova felt scared, her heart racing like a wild animal trapped in her chest. The footsteps drew closer, echoing off the cold walls of the cellar. She struggled to breathe, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Who was this person? What did they want from her?

As the footsteps stopped in front of her, Nova closed her eyes, bracing herself for the unknown. She could feel a presence looming over her, making her skin crawl. Her mind was a jumble of fear and panic, her thoughts unable to form a coherent prayer.

Suddenly, a low, menacing chuckle filled the air, making Nova's blood run cold. She opened her eyes to find a figure shrouded in shadows, its presence seeming to fill the entire room.

Nova tried to speak, her voice shaking with fear. "W-what do you want from me?" she stuttered.

The figure chuckled again, the sound sending chills down Nova's spine. "Oh, you'll find out soon enough," it said in a low, gravelly voice. "But first, you have to play a little game with me."

Nova's mind raced as the figure stepped closer, its features still hidden in the shadows. "W-what game?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

"A game of truth," the figure replied, its voice dripping with malice. "You see, Nova, I know all about your little secrets. And if you want to leave this place alive, you'll have to tell me the truth about what happened that night."

Nova's heart skipped a beat as she realized what the figure was talking about. Her secrets. Her past. 'How did it know?' she said in her mind

Nova remained silent, her eyes fixed on the figure as she tried to process what was happening. The figure didn't seem to mind, its gaze piercing through her like a cold blade.

"Very well," it said finally, its voice dripping with disappointment. "If you refuse to play, then we'll have to move on to other... measures."

The figure stepped closer, its presence making Nova's skin crawl. She could feel its hot breath on her face, and her heart raced with fear.

Suddenly, the figure reached out to grasp Nova's chin but before he could he was thrown across the room by a strong force, Nova was shocked by the sudden attack, she was curious of who it could be, but her vision was blurry so she couldn't see clearly

As Asher emerged from the shadows, Nova's blurry vision made it difficult to see clearly. She squinted, trying to make out the figures grappling on the ground. Her mind raced with fear, her thoughts disoriented. She couldn't tell who was who or what was happening.

Her captor and Asher were indistinguishable in the chaos, their bodies entwined in a fierce struggle. Nova's heart raced with terror, her eyes straining to focus. She didn't know who to trust or what to do.

Paralyzed with fear, Nova didn't move. She stood frozen, her eyes fixed on the battling duo, her mind unable to process the scene unfolding before her.

The fight seemed to slow down, the sounds of grunts and punches muffled by Nova's disoriented state. She felt like she was trapped in a nightmare, unable to wake up or escape.

Suddenly, everywhere fell silent, she wasn't thinking straight anymore, she was drained, scared and overwhelmed.

She saw a figure walking over to her. Her whole body was stiff, she couldn't move, her mind racing with fear of another person who'll harm her. But as the figure drew closer, Nova's fear gave away to surprise.
