It was never meant to happen. Why would he do this? He promised he wouldn't. She hoped, prayed that it wasn't true, but it was the truth, plain and simple. She started walking, she walked and walked. She thought she was walking in a random direction, but she was wrong. When she looked up she saw the place she would usually meet with him. She walked up to the very top and saw that oh-so-familiar balcony. She stepped onto it slowly, as if, if she hoped hard enough he would appear before her like usual. However that never happened, but still she waited and waited, and waited, but no matter how long she waited there would never be another meeting. Days, weeks, months, she had no idea how long she waited there. Through sun, and rain, she waited for him but she would never see him again, he would never return to her, like he had promised.

When he had heard, he had been devastated. He had loved him like a son. And now he was gone. He had mourned as any father would, and those who knew him gave him the space he needed. For once in his life he took a day off work. There was one other that he was worried about though, her. He knew she must be suffering as well, as she had loved him just as much as he had. However, he had looked for her at her home and had yet to find her. It wasn't long before he figured to look for her there, after that thought he found her rather quickly.

She felt him walk onto the balcony she had not left since arriving here. He had been told by the owner that she had been here for almost three weeks and had not moved since, she didn't respond to others and the owner had just about gotten her to eat enough to keep her alive. He approached her slowly not wanting to startle her, but he was also concerned. He needed her to be ok, if not for herself then for him.

Eventually, she turned to face him. The tears that had slowly but surely been accumulating, finally fell. He knelt down to her and pulled her in, she immediately collapsed into him. She begged him to bring him back, she knew she would regret such words in the morning, knew his 'departure' hurt him too. But she would apologise come the morning. He, however, would never accept the apology, he knew she was hurting just as much, if not more, than him. He understood that right now she just needed someone to be there, he promised he would be there when he couldn't.
