The times you found me weak and took me underneath

I failed to cast aside the voice of disbelief

Come back into these arms, is what you begged of me

Commit to sacrifice, I'm crying to be free

Exorcism - Kat von D / Gunship

Zoraida heard the voices before she opened the door.

"As you can see, the vehicle is well protected," Mother Superior Luminita was saying, "If we were to ask for more, we would need a tank..."

She was interrupted by a soft, muted voice:

"That is not what I'm afraid of-."

"Certainly, Illuminata, you have nothing to worry about", dismissed a third person.

The door creaked loudly as it opened, and the three women inside the room turned to look at the new visitor.

Zora found herself in front of the three most important members of Aurora:

Mother Superior Luminita sat on a big office desk made of oak.

At her side stood Mother Candela, the most likely candidate to take the position of abbess once the Mother Superior retired.

Lastly, with her back to the door and her neck turned to see behind her, was Illuminata, future Saintess of the temple of Light. She was dressed lavishly in a giant gown of pale blue and gold, that had more structure in it, than most houses in the village of Daw. A tiara adorned her head.

She was probably there to discuss her future birthday celebration, to be held in two weeks. There, she would finally be named the official Saintess of Lux. It made sense, then, that she would be unhappy with the unexpected intrusion. Her face was the picture of frustration as she looked at the guard.

It was an expression Zoraida was used to. Although they were the same age and had grown up together, she and the future Saintess had a rocky relationship. It was not that they disliked each other, there was just too much tension between them, and they often ended up on opposite sides of arguments.

"I apologize for the intrusion. I was told to come to your office without delay, Mother Superior."

"Yes," Mother Superior agreed. "Illuminata, we may continue this discussion at a later date."

It looked like the future Saintess wanted to protest, but she nodded and left without a word.

Zora approached the center of the room, ready for her punishment. As she did, she peeked at the documents on the office desk, that the three women had previously been looking at. She could recognize pictures of a white car, what looked like the inner design of the car and some graphs. She was, however, unable to read anything, before Mother Candle took the papers and shoved them inside a folder.

"You have always liked to cause trouble," Mother Superior started, "but this time you have quite outdone yourself. I want to know why, exactly, you decided to shoot at an unarmed guest."

"It was an accident, Mother Superior."

"Don't take me for a fool, child."

Luminita had always been a sour-looking woman. She was thinner than most nuns, wore a sunken face, and her mouth seemed to be constantly chewing on lemons. Despite this, she was rarely angered, nervous our upset. In fact, unlike Mother Candela and most other nuns with high responsibility, she had a strong sense of humor and often enjoyed Zora's schemes.
